9 years agoThey are really, really good and really competitive. Any time we had any problems they would come right out. We didn't really have many problems but we had a couple where we couldn't get the pilot light to light ad stuff like that. They came right out. The owner came out a couple of times, didn't charge us and treated us really good. -

FAQ
How does Buck's Heating and AC determine pricing for HVAC work?
We provide custom quotes based on the specific work your system needs. Our estimates break down labor, equipment, parts, and any additional materials so you understand exactly what you're paying for. We recommend getting a detailed written estimate before work begins, which helps you compare options and avoid surprise charges. Our pricing reflects the quality of our work and the responsiveness our customers appreciate.
Are you licensed, insured, and certified to work on HVAC systems?
Buck's Heating and AC maintains the licensing and insurance required to serve Chesterton homeowners safely and legally. We can provide proof of our credentials and insurance coverage upon request. Proper licensing and insurance protect you in case of accidents or issues during service, so it's always smart to verify this with any contractor before hiring.
Does Buck's Heating and AC handle both furnace repairs and AC installations?
Yes, we handle the full range of heating and cooling work-from furnace repairs to complete AC installations and routine maintenance. Our team works on all components of your system, including outdoor AC units, furnaces, and evaporator coils. Whether you need a quick repair or a new system installed, we're equipped to keep your home comfortable year-round.
What should I expect in terms of scheduling and response time?
Buck's Heating and AC prioritizes quick response to service calls and works to schedule appointments that fit your needs. Our customers consistently note how responsive we are when issues come up. For specific availability and scheduling details, contact us directly at our Chesterton location so we can confirm timing for your repair or installation.
How does Buck's Heating and AC handle cleanup after service work?
We treat your home with respect during every job, which includes proper cleanup of our work area. Our team removes debris and leaves your space clean once the work is complete. Professional cleanup is part of delivering quality service, and we make sure you're not left dealing with mess from our installation or repair work.
Why should I hire a professional instead of attempting HVAC work myself?
HVAC systems involve refrigerant handling, electrical components, and precise sizing calculations that require specialized training and certification. Improper installation or repair can damage your equipment, void warranties, and create safety hazards. Our team has the tools, knowledge, and experience to do the job correctly the first time, which saves you money and headaches in the long run.
