2 years agoGreat customer service, quality work and the experience and expertise shows thru to the finished project. My project was a very difficult one- a large log home with hickory hardwood and Matt knocked it out of the park. -

2 years agoDeadman flooring did a great job of refinishing our hardwood floors at half the price that the big flooring stores quoted. They started on the date that was set and held to their quote even when it was found the sanding would take longer than expected due to the number of coats of polyurethane. -

FAQ
How does Deadman's Hardwood Flooring determine pricing for hardwood flooring projects?
We provide custom quotes based on the project's specifics, such as the type of hardwood like hickory or 3/4-inch solid wood, the square footage involved, and whether it includes installation, sanding, or resealing. These quotes factor in challenging conditions like log home layouts to ensure accurate costs upfront. Homeowners benefit from pricing that undercuts big-box store estimates while covering all the work outlined.
Are you licensed and insured for flooring work?
Deadman's Hardwood Flooring carries the necessary licensing and insurance required for flooring projects in Gillette, WY. This coverage protects your home and belongings from any potential damage or accidents during installation or refinishing. Our family team follows professional standards to handle tasks safely from start to finish.
Does Deadman's Hardwood Flooring handle tough installs like hickory in log homes or sanding large areas?
We specialize in demanding projects such as installing hickory hardwood in log homes and sanding plus resealing nearly 1000 square feet of existing floors. Our experience ensures proper handling of 3/4-inch solid hardwood and uneven surfaces common in these settings. This approach delivers smooth, durable results tailored to your home's unique structure.
What should I expect for scheduling and timelines with you?
Deadman's Hardwood Flooring sticks to the agreed start date and completes work within the quoted timeline, even on complex jobs like multi-room installs and large refinishing areas. We coordinate phases, such as moving between rooms efficiently, to minimize disruption. Clear communication keeps you informed of any adjustments needed for material delivery or site prep.
How does Deadman's Hardwood Flooring handle cleanup and after-care after the job?
We leave your home clean by removing all sanding dust, debris, and installation waste once the hardwood floors are sanded, resealed, and ready for use. Our crew manages dust protection during the process and ensures floors cure properly before heavy traffic. This thorough cleanup allows you to enjoy the finished space right away without extra hassle.
Why is hiring you better than attempting a DIY hardwood refinishing project?
We bring specialized tools and techniques for sanding and resealing large areas or installing thick hardwoods in tricky spots like log homes, avoiding common DIY pitfalls such as uneven finishes or gaps. Our family crew works precisely to match schedules and quotes, preventing costly mistakes from inexperience. Professional results last longer and save time compared to trial-and-error approaches at home.
