Professional tech Joe assessed the problems immediately and came from the basement to explain each step of the repair. His calm, reasonable tone put me at ease. A small pipe in the front foyer bursting did not make his job any easier. An example of grace under pressure.

Nimmer was able to schedule next-day diagnosis right away for us. The diagnostic fee is very reasonable, and is on the lower end of rates going currently. Joe, the technician, is very knowledgeable and immediately knew the cause of our HVAC system's issues. He went above and beyond and provided recommendations for other things related to the system. Overall, I will highly recommend Nimmer Heating and Air.

Nimmer Heating and Air was recommended by another service company that we had used for years before they got out of the HVAC business. We've used Nimmer twice so far, once for our A/C unit and this most recent time for our ancient boiler. Both times we've been so thankful to have found them. Technician Blake was friendly, prompt, and informative. I inquired about their maintenance plan and he didn't try to upsell me- he gave me the facts and a brochure for me to make the decision on my own timeline, no hard pressure tactics which I really appreciated. I also appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the office staff who have been helpful both times. Nimmer will continue to be our go-to for all of our HVAC needs.

FAQ

How does Nimmer Heating & Air Conditioning determine pricing for HVAC services?

We assess pricing based on the specific diagnosis, parts required, and labor involved for each job, such as service calls or installations. For example, a diagnostic service call has a set fee, while additional work like installing a circuit panel or replacing a blower motor is charged separately by time and materials. This approach ensures transparency, allowing homeowners to understand costs upfront before any work begins.

Do you offer free estimates for HVAC repairs and installations?

Nimmer Heating & Air Conditioning provides detailed quotes after an initial assessment to cover the full scope of work, including labor, parts, and any necessary modifications. We explain each line item, such as equipment models and timelines, to help you compare options accurately. This process avoids surprises and aligns with standard practices for comprehensive HVAC projects.

Is Nimmer Heating & Air Conditioning licensed and insured for HVAC work?

We maintain proper licensing and insurance to handle all HVAC services safely and in compliance with local requirements. Our technicians are equipped to work on systems like furnaces, boilers, and air conditioners, performing tasks from repairs to full installations. Homeowners can request verification of our credentials during the initial consultation for peace of mind.

Do you handle ductwork installation and repairs along with heating and cooling systems?

We install and repair ductwork in areas like basements to ensure proper airflow and system efficiency, as seen in our work on new furnace setups. Our services also cover related components such as heat pumps, tankless water heaters, and air purification systems. Proper duct design prevents common issues like leaks or restrictions that reduce performance.

What is the typical timeline and scheduling process with Nimmer Heating & Air Conditioning?

We schedule service requests promptly, often squeezing in urgent needs like blower motor replacements, with technicians arriving prepared with parts on the truck. Installation projects, such as boiler replacements with added water heater functions, proceed from quote to completion efficiently based on the scope. Expect clear communication on arrival windows and project timelines to minimize disruption to your routine.

What can I expect for cleanup and after-service care after your HVAC work?

We leave your home clean by removing old equipment, debris from ductwork or furnace installations, and any packaging materials generated during the job. Technicians use protective measures like drop cloths to safeguard floors and furnishings throughout the process. Post-service, we test system performance and provide guidance on maintenance to keep everything running smoothly.
