1 month agoAce of Space is hands down the absolute best remodeling/general contracting business I have ever worked with in my 22 years as a Madison resident. I've lived on the far east side, the near east side, and the north side, primarily in older homes (30 to 100+ y/o). I've overseen the remodel of a two-flat on Jenifer St. and done a LOT of work to my 1936 brick colonial. I have seen a lot of things and worked with many different general contractors. I must say, however, that I have never worked with a team like Ace of Space. To address an underlying lead contamination issue, my wife and I worked with Ace of Space to undertake a major garage remodel, replace five doors, and install 14 windows, one of which, a transom above our front door, required custom woodworking. Ross, Shannon, FL, Pants, and the rest of the AOS crew were gems. They arranged our sub-contracting (lead abatement, electric, etc.), kept us apprised of schedules and progress, actively engaged with us in the planning, design, and occasional re-visioning process, and always made us feel like our project was one of their top priorities. Beyond the logistics and fantastic "vibes", the work AOS did on our house is outstanding; from the interior trim they matched nearly perfectly to the surrounding original, to countless custom woodworking, structural, and painting details, we could not be happier. We LOVE Ace of Space and will turn to them again without hesitation the next time we are looking to do work on our house. Thank you, thank you, thank you! -

7 months agoThe whole team at Ace was a pleasure to work with on a project that had a lot of moving parts (two bathroom and two kitchens renovated in 120+ year old house). We're really happy with the end result and the experience as a whole. They did a great job coordinating with my parents too, who live at the house that was being renovated. Ace did unfortunately pull in a sub-contractor (CTW, cabinets) that didn't live up to the promises they made in our custom cabinet designs. More frustratingly, CTW wouldn't admit to their (obvious) fault. Ace gave us a discount for the shoddy work that CTW did though, so that was nice customer service. Avoid CTW in the future. But definitely work with Ace of Space! -

10 months agoBought a new condo which needed some serious fresh coats of paint. Ace of Space came out and did a wonderful job. Friendly, efficient and hard working. They patiently put 2 to 3 coats of primer before the desired color as the previous colors were very dark. I've already hired them for another job and will be hiring them to put new shelving in the closets. I highly recommend them and am very happy to have found them for my projects. -

1 year agoWhen we first moved into our house, the oven was incredibly leaky and smelled like gas, which was pretty worrisome. We hunted for a small stove to replace it with, but it appears new stove sizes are standard, and when we put the new one in one of our (only 2!) kitchen drawers would no longer open. We've had a useless, stuck drawer for 3 years now, and we've been trying to get in touch with other carpentry places, but the job was deemed too small or we were just ghosted by every other company we talked to. Ace of Space immediately reached out and coordinated a visit, then worked with me to find a fix for the issue (cut the drawer face down, and rebuild the tracks), and then in just under a week, the job was done. We were waiting years, and as soon as we called Ace of Space it was handled expertly and immediately. And the price was great too. Wonderful experience, they're going to be our first call for future carpentry needs. Thank you so much Ace of Space team!
