2 months agoI used Servpro of North Kenosha County at the recommendation of my insurance company after experiencing water damage in my partially finished basement from failed sump pumps this past December. I had timely response from the project manager that morning. The demo workers overall did a good job on what was done and were nice to work with. What I would recommend if you work with this Servpro is reviewing the detailed estimate you receive for accuracy of work done and if further communication is needed, both calling them and following up with documentation of those conversations and keeping those for record. I received a verbal estimate and plan of work to be done which I would expect is standard in such an urgent situation to minimize general damage. Quick summary of the work - carpet and baseboard removal, partially removing drywall and insulation where needed, venting drywall where no insulation, and cleaning, treating, and drying to prevent mold. When I received the detailed estimate from my insurance company and general invoice from Servpro approximately a week after the work was completed, I reviewed the detailed estimate and found discrepancies on the work done and what was charged. After about 2 months of back and forth communication we resolved everything and full, adjusted payment was issued but I walked away feeling like Servpro was more focused on getting money - any money - than making sure I was being invoiced accurately for the work done. In what was already an incredibly stressful time and situation, this experience did not help. Other professionals I worked with from this situation invoiced accurately, got paid fully, and immediately and would recommend using - such as Master Services Plumbing. Though there is still more work to be done on my basement I will not be using Servpro of North Kenosha County. -

2 months agoIt was a terrible trying to get my basement done and finished in a timely matter. Communication could've been better with the office or management. I think if it wasn't for Tim I would probably still be waiting. He repeatedly reached out to me and seemed to stay on top of things. Out of everyone I dealt with for the year it took to get it done, it really seemed like he cared and did a great job on the work. I think he deserves a better position than just a worker. In the end I was satisfied although it was a bumpy road -

2 months agoExtremely poor communication from this company. They say they're coming then don't show up, no one calls back or reaches out. Best asset they have is their employee Tim who does the reconstruction. He's really professional, he's the only person that reaches out to communicate and he's very professional. If I could leave 0 stars I would -

7 months agoWe contacted this place for a quote. Miguel Torres, project manager, is a joke. We took off for an appointment around noon with him and was told by him (Miguel Torres) that he couldn't make it until later. There was no ETA given. We recieved a text from him 20 minutes before his arrival at 4:36 pm that same day. It was a waste of PTO we used to get a quote from this clown. He stated he "THINKS" it will be about 5k and stated they can start the job in 3 days. We informed him we wanted an ACTUAL quote, meaning written agreement quote before making that decision on Miguel's verbal "I THINK" quote. He seemed annoyed we didn't agree to the job starting in 3 days before receiving a quote, so he continued saying he'll get back to us in two weeks for a quote. It's been almost 4 weeks and still nothing from Miguel Torres who is the project manager per his business card. We decided to go with a different company that was able to give us a quote with an itemized explanation on why the job was quoted the amount given to us. Transparency is what makes a business successful and keeps good customers around and recommendations from those customers to others. I would NOT recommend anyone to do business with a company that promises a quote without it written, that's how they tack on more fees to a job once completed.
