2 months agoAmazing service and great payment options. Our furnace went out last winter and we needed a new one right away. AMA was able to install the new furnace the same day with just a small down payment. Today, our heat stopped working and turns out it was a bad thermostat and AMA installed the new one right away and had my family nice and warm again (on a Sunday)! I always recommend AMA to friends and family. -

9 months agoAma was recommended by a friend when our a/c went out on July 3rd at 4:30. Several companies in the area had no one on call. Ama had Mason on call and sent him out. He arrived in 20 minutes, diagnosed the problem, went back to the shop for parts, and had it fixed by 6:20. Mason was great-pleasant and professional. Highly recommend Ama. -

1 year agoWe have an older cast iron boiler for our home heating that was not working properly. We called another local heating company that had done prior good work for us, and after coming by a couple times to only temporarily get the heat fixed, they told us we needed a new boiler. I decided to call Ama for a 2nd opinion. Their tech came to our house, and within 10 minutes diagnosed a few minor maintenance issues that he corrected within the hour and said that would fix 99% of our heating issues. Ama gained a new customer today and thank you for having competent and honest technicians!!! -

1 year agoWe recently purchased a split level home with electric heat and no air conditioning or duct work. We knew that because of the style of our home, it was going to be costly and difficult to install duct work (hi-velocity system) and add A/C and a boiler system for heat. We talked with several companies and AMA not only came in with the best price, but also the best plan for install. This project was ten's of thousands of dollars, and we trusted AMA to get it done and do it well. They delivered and it was totally worth it! Their installers were respectful and the project was done timely.

FAQ
How does Ama Heating & Air Conditioning determine pricing for HVAC services, and do you offer free estimates?
We determine pricing based on the specific needs of your home, including equipment sizing, labor for installation or repair, and any necessary materials like duct modifications. Estimates are provided after an on-site inspection to ensure accuracy for tasks such as furnace installations or AC repairs. Flexible financing options are available with small down payments to help spread costs over time.
Are you licensed and insured for HVAC work?
Ama Heating & Air Conditioning is fully licensed, bonded, and insured to handle all heating and cooling services in Green Bay. Our team carries workers' compensation and general liability coverage to protect your property during repairs or installations. We also hold necessary certifications for tasks involving refrigerants and comply with local permitting requirements.
Does Ama Heating & Air Conditioning handle boiler service and installations in older homes without ductwork?
We specialize in servicing older cast iron boilers and installing systems like furnaces or ductless options in homes without existing ductwork, such as split-level properties. Our technicians inspect air filters, outdoor AC units, and other components to address issues efficiently. This approach ensures proper function even in challenging setups common to older Green Bay homes.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for emergency HVAC repairs?
We offer same-day service for urgent needs like furnace failures or AC breakdowns, with our emergency team arriving quickly, often within 20 minutes as needed. Scheduling for routine maintenance or installations follows a clear timeline from quote to completion, including any required permits. Expect our technicians to provide an arrival window and communicate any updates promptly.
What happens to debris and waste after Ama Heating & Air Conditioning completes an HVAC job?
We remove all old equipment, packaging, and debris from furnace installations, AC repairs, or boiler services, leaving your home clean and tidy. Technicians use protective measures like drop cloths during the work to minimize mess. Post-job walkthroughs confirm everything is in order before we leave.
Why is hiring you for professional HVAC maintenance safer and more effective than DIY attempts?
Our trained technicians use precise diagnostic tools to measure airflow, static pressure, and refrigerant levels, preventing issues like improper repairs that lead to repeated failures. DIY efforts often overlook factors such as duct leaks or insulation needs, which can shorten equipment life and raise energy bills. We follow industry standards for sizing, charging, and testing to ensure systems run efficiently and safely long-term.
