Keith and his team were great to work with. They did a full ductwork and heat pump installation with a great product at the same cost as a competitor's heat pump only bid. We went with a Hisense and it's been great. Keith was responsive to our calls and texts - he also checked in personally during our installation to make sure our needs were met. I'd recommend checking them out next time you need HVAC help. Competitive pricing and great customer service. They make sure to go the extra mile.

FAQ

How does Best Heat & Air determine pricing for HVAC work, and do you offer free estimates?

We provide detailed written estimates that break down equipment costs, labor, permits, and materials so you understand exactly what you're paying for before work begins. Our estimates include the specific model numbers of any equipment we recommend, which helps you compare options and make informed decisions. We encourage you to ask what's included and what isn't-for example, whether electrical upgrades or duct modifications are separate costs-so there are no surprises on your final bill.

Are you licensed, insured, and certified to handle refrigerant and HVAC installations?

Best Heat & Air maintains the proper licensing and insurance required to perform HVAC work safely and legally in Washington. Our technicians hold EPA 608 certification, which is required nationwide for anyone handling refrigerant. We're familiar with local permitting requirements and inspections, and we handle all necessary paperwork so your installation meets code and qualifies for any available utility rebates or incentives.

Does Best Heat & Air handle furnace replacements, air conditioning repairs, and heat pump maintenance?

We handle the full range of HVAC services, from furnace replacements and air conditioning unit installations to heat pump repairs and system maintenance. Our team works on both residential homes and rental properties, and we take time to thoroughly inspect your entire system-including ductwork, electrical connections, and airflow-to identify any issues. Whether you need a quick repair like a refrigerant recharge or a complete system replacement, we have the expertise to get the job done right.

What should I expect in terms of timeline and scheduling when you come out for service?

Best Heat & Air works with you to schedule appointments that fit your calendar and communicates clearly about what to expect on installation or service day. We protect your home during work by using drop cloths and maintaining a clean workspace, and we walk you through the entire process so you understand what's happening. Our team arrives prepared with the right tools and certifications, and we verify system performance before we leave-testing airflow, refrigerant charge, and other critical functions.

How does Best Heat & Air leave my home after completing furnace or air conditioning work?

We treat your home with respect throughout the job and ensure thorough cleanup once work is finished. Our technicians remove debris and waste materials properly, and we leave your space clean and ready to use. After installation, we also take time to walk you through how to operate your new equipment, explain maintenance requirements, and help you register your warranty so you're fully set up for success.

Why is a professional load calculation important instead of just guessing at system size?

A proper load calculation-called Manual J in the industry-considers your home's specific layout, insulation levels, window types, local climate, and even occupancy to determine the exact equipment size you need. An undersized system will run constantly without reaching comfortable temperatures, while an oversized unit wastes energy and shortens equipment life. We perform this calculation before recommending any equipment, and we can walk you through our sizing rationale so you understand why we're recommending what we are.
