They did all I wanted but they were about to do some major shortcuts which would have been disastrous. I found I had to supervise them. The pruning and hauling away of branches was fine.? Their thatcher didn't work so they were going to pretend that they had done that and they were about to do the?seeding. I intervened and?said they could not do that. I showed them the thatching problem and I really had to do that. So fortunately?their chief guy on the project -- there were three --?called their boss back?at the office. He came on out and had a thatcher that actually worked but they?were about to skip that?and they would have had to come back in a n another month or so to redo the job?at their expense? -- certainly not mine -- if I hadn't leaned on them to do that. I simply insisted you can't not do that simply because?your machine doesn't work.?

When I bought my home, the previous owners used them so it was simple to continue their service. Just like most of the other reviews, they were great at first and did a really good job. After a while the schedule changed and I was not informed. I had to call them from time to time to inquire about when I would get service. I would rarely get a response and at times, their voicemail was full so I couldn't even leave a message. Things slowly got worse and multiple times did it take 3+ weeks for them to come out to my home, all while I called repeatedly and left messages. It was frustrating to not get service, yet I continued to receive a bill as if they were coming on a regular basis. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because people have their bad days, but after almost 2 years of service and continually not receiving service, I felt the need to leave them. I would never recommend this company.

I was away when they came through our gated community. However, I like many other owners found that the moss kill was negligible. The thatching looked as if the machinery was out of whack. There were large divots, holes and not much thatch gone. The reseeding was done with a top soil filled with wood chips, small rocks, and plastic bits. It was ugly and deficient. No calls returned and so I wrote it off as a bad deal. Now in Feb. 2015 the lawn has large yellow spots where weak moss is growing back and the holes and such are still there.

FAQ

How does Green Arbor Landscaping determine pricing for lawn care services?

We provide custom quotes based on your property size, the specific services you need, and the current condition of your lawn. Our team assesses factors like lawn density, existing vegetation, and the scope of work-whether that's mowing, fertilizing, aeration, or moss control-to give you an accurate estimate. We're transparent about costs upfront so you know exactly what to expect before we begin work.

Are you licensed and insured?

Green Arbor Landscaping maintains the necessary licensing and insurance to operate as a professional landscaping contractor in the Renton area. This protects both you and our crew while we work on your property. You can ask to see our current credentials when we provide your estimate.

Does Green Arbor Landscaping handle both lawn care and hardscaping projects?

Yes, we offer a full range of residential and commercial services beyond basic lawn maintenance. In addition to mowing and fertilizing, we handle aeration, moss control, tree planting, retaining walls, deck building, fencing, pressure washing, stamped concrete, fire pits, and gutter work. This means we can tackle your complete outdoor property needs in one place.

What should I expect on the day of service?

Green Arbor Landscaping schedules services on consistent dates so you know when to expect us. We ask that gates remain unlocked and pets be kept indoors during your appointment for the safety of both your animals and our crew. If you need to reschedule or have access issues, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can adjust accordingly.

Does Green Arbor Landscaping clean up debris and grass clippings after mowing?

We include cleanup as part of our standard mowing service. Our team blows off all hard surfaces-including driveways, patios, decks, and sidewalks-to leave your property clean and finished. Any branches, leaves, or other debris we remove during work is hauled away, so you're left with a neat yard.

Why should I hire a professional instead of doing lawn care myself?

Professional lawn care uses proven techniques and equipment that protect your grass health and save you time. We follow industry best practices like proper mowing heights, alternating cutting patterns, and correct aeration timing to reduce stress on your lawn and encourage strong growth. Our crew also has the expertise to identify and treat issues like moss, thatch buildup, and nutrient deficiencies that DIY approaches often miss or worsen.
