13 years agoAnthony was hired to cut down a 30 foot Black olive tree and pressure wash all sides and gutters of my house and the sidewalk in front of my house. He was nice to speak to and seemed very anxious to do the work. My issue was the way the work was done. It was sloppy and messy. He left all the branches out on the curb and street and it was a mess everywhere. I had tons of leaves everywhere and none of this was cleaned up after even though he assured me he would come back to clean it up. We were left with a huge hole on our lawn until I called and complained for him to please come rake it up. He was also hired to pressure clean our pavement and sides of our house which was a total waste of money. Our house remained stained and he insisted that he couldn't do more or it would take the paint off the walls. He tried it twice because the first time he came out we had to threaten to stop our check. The dirt on the house could be rubbed off with our barehand yet he insisted that it had been pressure cleaned. A very lousy job and to get him to come out a second time was like pulling teeth. We had to call him and get mean because the time he promised he would come he didn't show. We lost our money with this person because he asked to be paid up front. I see why now. He knew his work would be unsatisfactory and this was a way to assure he would be paid. This company would not be recommended by me for anything. He will come and say he does every job you can think of. Don't go for it. Maybe his specialty is basic lawnwork but the big jobs are clearly out of him and his team's league. -

17 years agoThey came out to do the servicing and they cleaned up all of the leaves, however they did not do the limb removal themselves. They moved the limbs for us, but we had to call the trash service. There were a few things that they missed with the servicing. They are a very nice company to work with.

FAQ
Does Marshall's Tree Service offer free estimates for tree removal and pruning?
We provide on-site assessments to evaluate your trees and property before giving a custom quote based on factors like tree size, location, and scope of work such as tree removal, stump grinding, or crown reductions. This ensures accurate pricing without surprises. Contact us to schedule a visit at our Virginia Beach location on 525 North Great Neck Road.
Are you licensed and insured for tree services?
Marshall's Tree Service carries the necessary licensing and insurance to protect your property during tree removal, pruning, lot clearing, and storm damage cleanup. Our coverage includes liability for equipment like crane trucks and bucket lifts used in complex jobs over roofs or water. We can provide proof upon request to give you peace of mind before starting work.
Does Marshall's Tree Service handle stump grinding and lot clearing?
We specialize in stump grinding to remove remnants after tree removal, along with lot clearing for full property preparation including trench work for drain fields. Our equipment, visible in photos of crane trucks and piled tree sections, allows us to tackle these tasks efficiently even near structures or water. This keeps your land clear and ready for landscaping or building.
What is your typical timeline for scheduling and completing tree jobs?
We schedule jobs based on your needs and our availability, aiming for prompt service after an on-site quote and agreement. Most pruning, deadwooding, or debris haul-off projects wrap up in one day, while larger tree removals or storm cleanups may take longer depending on size and access. Expect clear communication on arrival windows to minimize wait times.
What does Marshall's Tree Service do with debris and cleanup after tree work?
We handle complete cleanup, hauling debris like branches, logs, and stumps to landfills as part of our standard service for tree removal, pruning, and lot clearing. Photos show our crews leaving lawns tidy after piling and removing large trunk sections. This leaves your property safe and neat without extra trash service calls.
Why is hiring you safer than doing tree pruning or removal myself?
Our professional approach uses specialized gear like grapple saws on cranes and bucket lifts to reach tall trees safely over roofs or water, avoiding risks of falls, property damage, or power line contact that DIY attempts often cause. Trained crews assess stability for crown reductions and storm damage, preventing further hazards. Homeowners save on potential injuries and repairs by letting us manage the precision required for healthy results.
