Daren was the representative from Woodfin. He was knowledgeable and professional. He was not just trying to make a sale he made sure that he was meeting my specific needs for a new HVAC installation. He also helped find the financing and payment plan that was best for me. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. It is so nice to get great customer service and to feel like you have made the right decision when you sign a contract. My new heating and air system will be installed next week. Do yourself a favor and skip the time and frustration of researching and getting lots of estimates. Call Woodfin first. Wish I had!!!

Woodfin is truly your neighborhood friend while also providing exceptional professional service. Not only were they professional and polite, but they also worked around multiple toddlers. They were mindful of my toddler sleeping in the next room while having duct cleaning done and still all kids managed to have a solid nap, Which is an accomplishment in itself. Will absolutely recommend them to anyone!

The tech was amazing. Did a great job. Replaced all three toilets. The inside was very knowledgeable. Even check the water meter outside. Our water bottle has gone up 50%. Zach really knows what he's doing.

I had woodfin out for JUST a quote as I'm getting quotes from multiple companies. The tech "fixed" my heat without asking me and I was charged $500. He told me "if i didn't wanna pay he'd just go take it all apart" completely unprofessional. I was absolutely shocked.

My review is based on the consultation with Joe Wood, who did an excellent job walking me through the projected costs and labor involved. His thoroughness and clarity in explaining everything gave me enough confidence to move forward with Woodfin without seeking a second quote. I'll follow up with a full review once the work is completed.

FAQ

How does Woodfin-Your Home Team determine pricing for HVAC work?

We provide detailed written estimates that break down equipment costs, labor, permits, materials, and any additional services before work begins. Our estimates include specific model numbers and a clear scope of work so you understand exactly what's included and what isn't. This transparent approach prevents surprises when you receive your final bill and lets you compare options with confidence.

Are you licensed and insured?

Woodfin-Your Home Team maintains full licensing, bonding, and insurance coverage to protect you and your home. We carry workers' compensation and general liability insurance, and our technicians hold the required EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerant. You can request our license number and proof of insurance at any time before we begin work.

Does Woodfin-Your Home Team handle complex HVAC installations like boiler systems and new line sets?

Yes, we handle full HVAC installations from start to finish, including boiler installations with complete piping systems, new air conditioning units, line set sizing and installation, and propane tank setups. Our team completes large projects efficiently-often in a single day-and follows industry best practices for proper refrigerant charge, condensate management, and system performance verification.

What should I expect for scheduling and arrival times?

Woodfin-Your Home Team prioritizes punctuality and clear communication about timelines. We'll provide you with an expected timeline from deposit to installation and let you know what to expect on installation day, including how long the work will take. Our team respects your time and coordinates logistics in advance so you're never left guessing.

How does Woodfin-Your Home Team handle cleanup after installation or repair?

We protect your home during work by using drop cloths and taking care to minimize disruption. After installation or repair is complete, our team cleans up the work area and walks you through operation, maintenance requirements, and warranty registration. You'll receive a fully tested system that meets manufacturer specifications and leaves your home in good condition.

Why is a professional load calculation important for HVAC sizing?

A proper load calculation-called Manual J in the industry-considers your home's specific layout, insulation levels, window placement, local climate, and occupancy to determine the right equipment size. An undersized system will struggle to reach comfortable temperatures, while an oversized unit wastes energy and shortens equipment life. We conduct thorough evaluations and calculations to ensure your new system is sized correctly for your needs, not guesswork.
