2 months agoI have used Hungerford Heating Oil for the past 10+ years for my Heating Oil needs. Angela has always been wonderful and responsive. My most recent service call was as usual amazing, but it took all the bells and whistles from Hungerford to assure I had heat for my terminally ill mother staying with me. Verizon's phone system was down, we figured out a way to communicate through text. Donna was an angel and coordinated all events. I was very low on oil ... Angela got the oil dispatched and delivered before they said they would, David came after hours, climbed under my house in the dark and freezing cold and restarted my system, and the office worked with my financial situation. I've grown accustomed to large companies prioritizing efficiency and the bottom line over personalized service. It's hard to feel like anything more than just a number these days. This is exactly why I'm writing this review: this company is the exception! They combine their proven experience with a genuine human element, taking the time to ensure a personal touch and showing real heart in their work. The team went above and beyond, and it made all the difference. I highly recommend Hungerford Oil for all of your Heating and Oil concerns. 2 months agoIf I could leave a negative review I would. We had Hungerford HVAC perform HVAC service that was clearly done incorrectly. They returned and claimed the issue was "fixed," but our system still does not work. We have a one-year warranty on this service, which they are now refusing to honor. It is 14 degrees outside and we have no heat. When we contacted the company, we were repeatedly told they "refuse service," and representatives hung up on us multiple times. Only after mentioning that we would leave a review did they stay on the line with us. The woman we spoke with, Donna, initially stated someone would be sent out. After acknowledging the warranty, she reversed course and told us no one would be sent for months, despite knowing we have no heat in the middle of winter. This company performed defective work, and then abandoned us during an emergency while actively refusing to stand behind their own warranty. Hanging up on customers, contradicting themselves, and refusing service under warranty is completely unacceptable. We will never do business with Hungerford HVAC again and strongly warn others to stay far away. If something goes wrong, and it likely will, you cannot rely on this company to take responsibility or do the right thing. -
