1 month agoWe had great experience with Matt and his crew. We needed 6in duct installed for kitchen hood, seemed as if we ware looking for impossible. Matt was recommend by another contractor. He came over gave me a quote which was fair. On day of installation, some unforseen things came up and original plan would not work. Matt and his crew spent great deal of time trying to figure out another way to get the duct work out with minimal turns. They came up with a plan and were able to get the exhaust out. We appreciate their work and willingness to find alternative way instead of giving up or doing it another way that would have been technically harder. -

1 year agoOur home unit required charging, and a technician visited to perform the service. A subsequent appointment was scheduled for the following week to investigate a potential leak. Regrettably, the technician neglected to keep the appointment and has not responded to our phone calls. -

2 years agoKent is always super responsive and sent Jimmy over quickly to resolve our issue. Jimmy was excellent - great guy and made sure I understood the issue and how they would fix it. Replaced a motor in our outdoor unit and installed a new thermostat. Work quality is always excellent, and they do it the right way. No gimmicks and fair pricing. AES will be our first call for anything heating and cooling! I'd highly recommend Air Energy Solutions to anyone! Thanks again for keeping us cool!!! -

FAQ
How does Air Energy Solutions determine pricing for HVAC work?
We provide custom quotes based on a thorough evaluation of your specific needs, including the scope of work, equipment required, and any special considerations like ductwork modifications or electrical upgrades. Our estimates are itemized to show equipment costs, labor, materials, and any permits needed so you understand exactly what you're paying for. We recommend getting multiple quotes to compare, and we're confident our pricing reflects both quality workmanship and fair value without cutting corners on component quality.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Air Energy Solutions maintains the proper licensing and insurance required to operate as an HVAC contractor, electrician, and plumber in Virginia. We carry workers' compensation and general liability insurance to protect both our team and your home during installation and repair work. Before hiring any contractor, always ask to verify their license number and proof of current insurance coverage.
Can Air Energy Solutions handle specialized ductwork installations like kitchen hood ducts?
Yes, we specialize in custom ductwork solutions including 6-inch ducts for kitchen hoods and other non-standard applications that many contractors find challenging. Our team has the expertise to work through complex installation scenarios during renovations or when space is tight. We evaluate your specific layout and airflow requirements to design and install ducts that meet building codes and perform efficiently.
How quickly can you schedule an appointment, and what should I expect on installation day?
Air Energy Solutions prioritizes responsive scheduling and can often arrange visits quickly, especially for urgent repairs like motor replacements. On installation day, our crew will protect your home with drop cloths and shoe covers, clearly explain the work being performed, and handle cleanup after completion. We'll also walk you through system operation, maintenance requirements, and warranty registration so you're fully informed about your new or repaired equipment.
What does Air Energy Solutions do with debris and waste after an installation or repair?
We handle full cleanup as part of our service, removing debris and leaving your home in clean condition after work is complete. Our crew takes care to minimize disruption during the job and ensures all waste materials are properly disposed of. You won't be left with the burden of cleaning up after installation or repair work.
Why should I hire a professional instead of attempting HVAC work myself?
HVAC systems require specialized knowledge, tools, and certifications to install and repair safely and effectively. Improper installation can reduce efficiency, shorten equipment lifespan, void warranties, and create safety hazards like incorrect refrigerant charge or electrical issues. Professional contractors perform load calculations to size equipment correctly, conduct ductwork inspections to verify airflow, and follow industry standards that protect your investment and ensure your system performs as designed.
