3 months agoI recently hired A Top to Bottom Tree and Lawn Service to trim a large Water Oak and remove a couple of additional trees in the back yard. The crew did an excellent (5-star) job with the tree trimming. The crew worked hard, and the results of the trimming and removals were impressive. I appreciated their efficiency and the way they safely handled the big tasks That said, there are a couple of areas where the experience could be improved and those few issues impacted my overall satisfaction. The heavy machinery used to access the back yard left noticeable tire marks and large divots throughout the lawn. Additionally, the stump grinding was not thorough or wasn't fully completed, leaving some large roots sticking up where the trees had been removed. Our solution to fix the damage will be an additional expense which will include buying truck load of topsoil and getting an excavator to pull up the roots and level the ground. While I appreciate their professionalism, timeliness, and quality of trimming work, I would have expected more care taken to protect the yard and more thorough stump grinding. Overall, sharing my mixed experience with both strong points and areas for improvement. I definitely recommend this company but just know there are factors to consider that I was unaware of and hope this review helps future customers. With a bit more attention to yard care and finishing details, this company could easily move from 3.5 star to a 5 star. -

3 months agoMy neighbor had a large tree removed and 3 others tall trees trimmed. They abutted my yard/drive and "A Top to Bottom" needed to use my drive to access them as they were next to the fence that separates our yards. The "A Top to Bottom" team were terrific in safely and carefully doing their work and did an Outstanding Job cleaning up around my drive and yard. I really couldn't have asked for a better job. I will definitely use them in the future for any tree removal or trimming. Thanks ATtB. -

4 months agoCarelessness caused damage. A Top to Bottom Tree Service was contracted to remove a tree from our neighbors property which partially overhangs our driveway. Without consulting us about our car that was in the driveway (we were not at home at the time, no other attempt was made to contact us through our neighbor who could have texted) they commenced the tree removal without putting a mat out to protect it and broke our car's windshield. We are 100% certain that the windshield was not damaged at all before, and the day after the job was finished my wife noticed a large crack on the windshield and promptly contacted Kevin, the owner. He denied responsibility claiming that they couldn't be sure when the windshield was broken, however, it is fairly obvious that it was caused by debris falling from the tree. Kevin preferred to deflect blame instead insisting that it was more likely damage from a BB gun than branches falling. The simple fact is had his team put down a mat to cover the car this would not have happened and would have taken very little effort on their part. On this same job his team broke one of our neighbors windows as well. I would not recommend this company, they failed to take the time before starting work to ensure they would not damage anything around the tree and the owner was condescending and dismissive to both me and my wife. -
