Doolan's replaced my old dilapidated fence with a more permanent fence that will keep the deer out of my garden. They used excellent materials and provided good value. Thank you for the job well done.

Chris Doolan of Doolan Fences built a 46' shadow-box fence for our yard. We needed a 6-foot cedar fence to give us privacy. He designed it and constructed it on site just what we wanted. He was diligent and exacting in his work and we would recommend him to anyone.

I was more than pleased with my new dog enclosure from Doolan Fence. And I think the puppies agree! My lot is not level so I had some concerns as to how that would turn out. I should not have worried. Chris paid great attention to detail and where there were options as to how things could be done, he consulted me. It was a little hard to justify the expense for my dog, but it is a great convenience for me and safer for her as I live on a busy road. I think there is added value if I ever sell, both as dog fencing or a child's play area.

FAQ

How does Doolan Fence determine pricing for fence installations?

We assess pricing based on the fence type, materials needed, perimeter length, and site conditions like steep slopes. Owner Chris provides a detailed estimate after reviewing your specific needs and options. This ensures fair value using solid materials that withstand Vermont's weather.

Are you licensed and insured for fencing work?

Doolan Fence carries the necessary licensing and insurance to protect homeowners during installations. We prioritize safety and compliance for projects like garden fences and dog pens. This coverage safeguards your property from any potential issues on site.

Does Doolan Fence handle garden fences to keep out groundhogs and deer, or fences on steep slopes for dog pens?

We specialize in building sturdy garden fences that protect against groundhogs and deer, as well as secure dog pens on steep slopes. Our experience includes tall deer fences around large perimeters and wooden rail fences with wire mesh. Chris guides you through material choices suited to Vermont's terrain and demands.

What is the typical timeline and scheduling process for your fence projects?

Doolan Fence works with you to set a realistic timeline based on project size, such as replacing worn fences or installing new ones. We provide clear expectations for start dates and completion, accounting for site prep and weather. Most jobs, like garden perimeters, finish efficiently without unnecessary delays.

What happens to debris and how do you handle cleanup after Doolan Fence installs a fence?

We remove all debris and waste from the site, leaving your yard clean and ready for use. This includes hauling away old fence materials during replacements. Our process ensures minimal disruption, with attention to restoring the area around gates and posts.

Why is hiring you better than attempting a DIY fence on challenging Vermont terrain?

Professional installation uses the right tools and techniques for steep slopes and durable materials that endure harsh weather, unlike DIY efforts that often fail prematurely. We select options tailored to needs like pest exclusion or pet containment, avoiding common errors in post setting and tensioning. This results in fences that last longer with proper stability and alignment.
