4 months agoWe had ServiceMaster come and put our basement back together after installing a flood mitigation system. They did our new drywall, flooring, and painting. They were great to work with as we had a very tight turnaround time to get the project completed as we were also refinancing our house. Nate was very communicative and walked us through every step of the process. He did a final walk through to make sure we were completely satisfied with the work, and got us the best pricing he was able to. We did have a few times where the contractors were late as they were on other jobs, but overall the work was very good and we felt well taken care of. -

4 months agoService Masters was awesome! They showed up when they were supposed to be here. They were respectable and kind. They went above and beyond more than once. They kept me informed on how things were going with our project. If I'm ever in need of a house repair again, they will be the first people I call. -
HTW First
7 months agoThe guy first said $1,000, then changed it to $1,000-$1300. When I was finishing the conversation, I specifically asked again about the price, because I know the games these companies play, and at that point he said it would be around $ 1300- $1500. I even told him directly that he had already bumped up the price three different times within that 15 minutes. I normally would never use companies like this because I am done dealing with people who operate that way. The only reason I agreed was because I assumed it would be covered through insurance. Of course they insurance company denied the claim. The actual repairs only cost $1,200, yet these guys want to charge $1,767. All they really did was cut open the drywall, tear up the carpet halfway, remove some baseboards, and run four fans for two days. That pricing is completely unreasonable. -

8 months agoThey wash carpets so it look like just vacuum, not even it clean any dirt from carpet. They say you don't look the difference because the carpet is already very clean. Is it make sense? -
Al Warriner
8 months agoVery knowledgeable about what it would take to clean and repair my basement after my water leak. Very polite and professional. When they found out I had a rescue dog in boarding, they worked extra so we could get our pet back home. Thank you for the extra attention.

FAQ
How does ServiceMaster of Salt Lake determine pricing for water damage restoration?
We assess the extent of water damage, including affected areas like walls, flooring, and any structural elements, to provide a detailed estimate. Pricing accounts for drying, removal of damaged materials, installation of new drywall, flooring, and painting as needed. Homeowners should discuss specifics with us upfront, as initial quotes may adjust based on full inspection findings.
Do you offer free estimates for water or fire damage services?
We provide free estimates to evaluate your water or fire damage situation accurately. Our team visits the site to measure the scope, including flooded basements or kitchens, and explains all costs involved. This helps you understand the full restoration process without upfront commitment.
Is ServiceMaster of Salt Lake licensed and insured for water damage restoration?
We maintain proper licensing and insurance to handle water damage restoration safely and professionally. Our experience spans nearly 40 years in the Salt Lake City area, covering tasks from drying flooded spaces to full rebuilds. This ensures compliance with local regulations and protects your property during repairs.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for ServiceMaster of Salt Lake water damage jobs?
ServiceMaster of Salt Lake responds quickly to water damage emergencies, starting the drying process right away upon arrival. We arrive on time as scheduled and keep you informed on progress, from initial drying to reinstalling drywall, flooring, and painting. Timelines vary by damage extent but aim for efficient completion while coordinating with insurers.
Does ServiceMaster of Salt Lake handle cleanup and debris removal after water damage repair?
We remove all debris from water-damaged areas, including torn-out walls, wet flooring, and exposed materials during remediation. Our process leaves your home clean and ready for final touches like painting. This includes proper disposal of waste to prevent any health hazards from mold or standing water.
Why is your professional water damage restoration safer than attempting DIY repairs?
Our approach uses specialized equipment to fully dry hidden areas behind walls and under floors, preventing mold growth that DIY methods often miss. We coordinate with insurers and follow industry standards for safe structural repairs, avoiding risks like electrical hazards from wet pipes. Professionals ensure long-term restoration, unlike incomplete DIY efforts that can lead to recurring issues.
