I contacted my insurance company on Tuesday October 7th about water and mold from the sudden failure of our hot water heater while my granddaughter was in the hospital giving birth to her first child. The insurance agent assigned an adjuster to review the damage who arrived at our home on October 9th and coordinated with an Advanced principal who said his crew would be at our home the following day. On October10, employees arrived and worked through the weekend to remove the impacted areas; the supervisor arrived on the 15th and inspected the remediation progress and indicated that he would have remediation employees who would replace all of the damaged areas of sheetrock, insulation and sub flooring, they completed the work on October 19th. We selected replacement wood flooring which took several days, the finish employees arrived on October 23rd who completed the finish work including matching paint and replacing all of our wood flooring in the entire affected area of the house. Our home is in a remote part of the state which would be a serious problem had it not been for the coordination of our insurance company, the insurance adjuster and Advanced Remediation principals and employees. I enthusiastically complement all of the people involved in our project and especially Advanced Restoration who I give 5 Starts for their work!

This business is a SCAM!!! The TRAUMA of this company's "service" has made it hard to go through the discomfort of writing this review, recalling the months of struggle and difficulty getting the bare minimum accomplished (the whole project took over one year to finish). But you should know how terrible this was for us. Apart from trying to blame us for everything wrong and bullying out of a better job, John from Orem, the contractor, was nice enough... but had almost nothing to do with the many jobs required after a tree fell on the house, causing leaking and many issues. He was simply never here. The work was farmed out to sub and sub-sub contractors, with little-to-no oversight from the boss. Meanwhile he talked about how much money he was raking in from the big winter. Several jobs, including a wood floor refinish had to be completely redone because of how shoddy the work was, with John finally hiring the guys he "would use if it were his house." But there were so many things wrong all throughout the project, it was hard to keep up with them all, especially in the details. Cracks, smears, holes, inferior quality materials, etc. We put our hearts and souls into building this place well, and to have these people coming in for the lowest prices possible (like literally teenagers with little-to-no experience, and definitely no attitude of caring about our home) while our insurance was paying for a reasonable amount of quality is shameful at best. After one winter, the front steps and new part of the deck that were replaced are already falling apart, loose and cracking boards. This company is a DISASTER!!!!

This company came out to remedy a flooded area in my basement. They would not discuss pricing with me when they came, but I was told it would be a small charge as the area was small, the damage was light and they had much less to do than on similar calls. A week or two after the work was done their manager came out to create his billing. He didn't give me any idea of what would be charged or how the billing was to be compiled. They billed my insurance company first, without providing me a copy of the bill, so I was unable to verify the charges. I received only a bill for my copay of $1,000. I had to call and email to get a copy of the original billing and they were not happy to provide it. When I reviewed the bill I was shocked to find that their few hours of work was charged as about $2,500. The original invoice was unclear and I was unable to verify how the charges were calculated. It appears that they have charged me for the entire space of the basement, when only 20-25% was affected. I have asked repeatedly for a written explanation of charges and they refuse to provide that to me. They only mention they will explain it over the phone. However, when I did speak to them on the phone they made it sound like I shouldn't care because the insurance company has to pay the bulk of the bill. He told me I have to pay him even if I don't get an explanation of the bill. He told me to read the contract I signed and that I will be charged interest until the bill is completely paid. I believe they are potentially a fraudulent company and that perhaps people aren't in the practice of verifying them, just paying the bill. I have been working with contractors in my profession for 20 years and this is the only time I have felt like a company is blatantly acting in bad faith and they have potentially committed insurance fraud in my case. I am going to complain to the state of Utah and press for answers. They still refuse to answer my questions in writing, which furthers my suspicion. They tell me that no matter what they will get their money from me. When I asked to speak to this person's supervisor I was told he was the only one who could resolve my matter. Do not work with this company without a complete bill estimate up front, in fact I would say stay away from them entirely. Something is completely wrong with their billing process and I think there may be other potential victims out there who have no idea. Insurance fraud is a big deal and I believe they are potentially guilty. The actions of their representative have led me to this review. Perhaps there had been a mistake in the billing, but his unwillingness to respond in writing to my concerns leads me to believe that this is not an accidental scenario.

Called these guys to come out during a downpour and they did not show up until the next day. They put a temporary fix on the chimney and claimed it was "emergency" charging $325 for 1/2 hour of work on the temp fix. They would not give me a quote on the inside work until we fixed the roof. they quoted the roof repair at $1500 and the roofer I selected charged $850 to do more work around the chimney than they would be doing. I told the sales person if they charge $650 per hour I would not be hiring them in the future. Needless to say I paid the astronomical bill and they lost a $2000 inside job as we will not be hiring them!

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Was recommended to me by my insurance company due to water damage in my rental home. Owner and general contractor Deon is unorganized, unprofessional, and and the WORST communication skills I have ever known. On SEVERAL occasions he blamed anyone he could possibly find to cover for his incompetence, including myself, my family and our insurance company. He is unreliable at best. A job that should have taken 2 months to complete is now pushing 5 months. The last in a line of SEVERAL issues was he told me he hired a plumber to come and fix our sink. The next evening (when the plumber was supposed have done the work) he TEXT me to find out if my plumber was able to complete all the necessary work. Then he tried to charge me to a higher price to use his 'after hours plumber.' Shady!!!
