2 months agoNot only do they lie and do shoddy work they leave an absolute mess behind. They did almost 9000.00 worth of damage to our house and refused to do anything. Had to sue them more than once!. BAD NEWS -

The subs were some of the best in their particular profession, and did wonderful work and were also there when they were supposed to be. I would highly recommend Gene and His company, All Star Construction. -

1 year agoThis the second back porch/cover they have built for us. The last one was at our previous home, 20 years ago. This time we also had them build us a kitchen island inside. Every job has been exceptionally well done, and we'll definitely hold them in high regard for our next project. Pros: They simply do great work, meeting or exceeding expectations every step of the way. Expert craftsmanship and tons of experience. Project managers take the hassle out of dealing with individual contractors. (David and James were great to work with.) They also anticipated concerns before I needed to mention them and even replaced some siding that I had damaged before. Cons: Among the most expensive options, but you do get what you paid for. Original estimate was about 20% less than the final bill. We paid significantly for upgrades to the counter top, the decking, and the porch ceiling. The estimate was based on the cheapest options evidently. The lesson I learned is to ask for those specifics at the time of the bids. (Possible other bidders did the same.) Had to hire a separate company to complete the gutters. They initially said they'd move it from the original roof line to the new one. In the end, they realized they were unable to do it and unwilling to refund anything. One mitigating factor is that another section needs to be built from scratch, so a gutter guy was going to be needed. They don't do painting! Fortunately, we discovered Painting Solutions Houston who did a great job.
