1 month agoMy Kudos to One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating. I've had Rocky Smith come out in the past and he did a fantastic job on my regular maintenance. Last Friday 2/27/26, James Laisure was the tech that came out. He did very thorough explanation of what he was going to do. After he did his inspection, he took pictures of the furnace and the concerns, again his explanations and pictures helped me understand what I needed to do for preventative maintenance, and what he needed to do to get me back in shape. Overall it was not a major event, but it was good to have a competent tech know what to do, and do it in a professional manner and the charge was not expensive. I would add, since we are on their heating and Air semi annual maintenance plan, it's easier to remember what I need to do to keep my unit in good order. My furnace and air compressor units are 5 years old. Thanks for having well trained courteous techs. Highly recommend the Fort Worth group. -

1 month agoRevising review from 5 to 0. Do not use this company.... I had to hire Air Worth to come in after two days later and fix EVERYTHING THEY TOUCHED. Rocky was very pleasant and seemed to be a competent technician..... BUT Rocky recommended putting 6 lbs of 410A Refrigerant in to our 5 Ton unit without do a leak check that is required (if you are a ethical company) prior to filling unit with that much Freon. 24 hrs later $800 worth of Freon was gone (plus some more) because Rocky did not bother to do a leak check. Called different HVAC company AIR WORTH to troubleshoot system that Rocky from One Hour Air did not properly diagnose or repair.... AIR WORTH did a through check of system to find out where freon was going and found a HUGE leak at the outside compressor. To make matters worse, Rocky also mis-diagnosed our heat strips as being defective .... He did not know that you have to override the "staging" of heat strips to correctly assess if any of the heat strips were not working.... Rocky incorrectly diagnosed that two out of four heat strips require replacement.... When it turns out that only two heat strips are supposed to come on (at first) if you only turn on the emergency heat at thermostat.... He did not even know that emergency heat had to be put into TEST MODE to correctly check all heat strips. Rocky is a pleasant person, but epically incompetent TO BE able to correctly diagnose HVAC problems. If I could give a "0" review I would... requested a partial refund for the Freon fill that ultimately went straight into atmosphere-- which is not supposed to happen and why thy have a stare "License" to protect the environment. REGIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE DIRECTOR Leslie Humphrey SAID NO REFUND as Rocky claimed that I declined his recommendation for a leak check.... Simply not true. If unit had been only 1 or even two pounds low then the "recommendation" would have been appropriate to suggest to customer- but he estimated it needed 6 pounds - in this situation there can be NO RECOMMENDATION at that point - it has to be a required leak check!!!! I Have filed a formal complaint with TX PUC - as this should a violation of there required "workmanship quality and professional procedures" requirements. One Hour Air is a MEGA corp company that is dangerous, incompetent, unethical, and crooked. DO NOT USE EVER!!!! You will regret it!!!!! -

FAQ
How does One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating of Fort Worth determine pricing for HVAC services?
We base pricing on a full system assessment that identifies what your AC or furnace actually needs, such as regular maintenance or specific repairs. This includes evaluating factors like ductwork, airflow, and equipment condition to ensure accurate costs without unnecessary extras. You'll receive a detailed written estimate outlining labor, parts, and any required work before we start.
Are you licensed and insured for HVAC work?
One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating of Fort Worth carries all necessary licensing, bonding, and insurance, including workers' compensation and general liability to protect your home and ours. Our technicians hold EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants safely. We follow local permitting requirements and provide proof upon request to give you peace of mind.
Does One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating of Fort Worth service brands like Goodman, Bosch, and Lennox?
We handle servicing and installation of major brands including Goodman, Bosch, and Lennox AC units, as well as furnace assessments and maintenance. Our technicians perform thorough inspections of outdoor units, thermostats like Honeywell, and overall system performance. This ensures compatibility and optimal function for your specific setup.
What should I expect for arrival time and scheduling with you?
Our technicians arrive on time within the scheduled window, as confirmed by multiple homeowner experiences with our team. We coordinate directly to fit your needs, explaining the timeline for maintenance or assessments upfront. This approach minimizes wait times and keeps your day on track.
Does One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating of Fort Worth clean up after HVAC service?
We leave your home as we found it, with technicians being careful when walking through and handling all debris from maintenance or installations. Drop cloths and protective measures are standard to safeguard floors and surfaces. Any waste from servicing units like AC condensers or thermostats is removed completely.
Why is hiring you better than attempting HVAC maintenance myself?
Our professional approach includes full system assessments and precise diagnostics that spot issues like airflow problems or refrigerant needs, which DIY efforts often miss and can worsen. We educate you on findings without pushing unneeded work, ensuring safer, more efficient outcomes than trial-and-error fixes. This prevents common errors like improper sizing or duct leaks that reduce system life and raise energy costs.
