5 years agoThe chimney sweep barely peeked at my vent from the fireplace. And said all was good nothing needs to be done. Total of under 5 mins, including bringing in the tarp and setting it up etc. He proceeded to charge $85 for the inspection. Then I asked him to atleast check the chimney. He just walked to the backyard and eyeballed the chimney from a distance and said all is good. Thats it. No climbing up the ladder to inspect the chimney. He did not even look at the chimney from multiple angles. Nothing. I spoke to a neighbor who had a chimney inspection, where the inspector climbed up to the roof to really inspect the chimney. I felt the person who did my inspection barely did anything and was in and out under 5 mins, and charged $85 for it. The only useful thing from the visit was he answered some of my questions on how to use the fireplace. -
