17 years agoI had been smelling a foul odor under a bathroom vanity for years and no one had been able to find the source, including a mold remediation company. Mike investigated the odor, did some research on his own, even before we had a contract with him, and came up with several possible reasons. He put a lot of thought into the estimate and gave us an estimated timetable of what would be done each day. As it would involve ripping out the old vanity, we decided to redo the bathroom. The two other baths had tile floors that needed repair so, we decided to also replace all the 3 floors, one shower and the vanity. The first day of demolition, they discovered the sources of the odor. Due to some faulty original construction there were actually 3 separate problems causing water damage to the wall. It led to their having to remove the outer wall down to the studs. Although Mike was honest up front about not knowing what he'd find during demolition, he was prepared and quickly got the right people onto each aspect of the repairs. Although the work isn't finished yet, we have seen enough of their work to be very impressed with Mike's knowledge and professionalism and that of his team of experts. We have enjoyed meeting each of his workers. They are conscientious about doing the job right and don't mind us asking questions as they go about their work. Mike has been very easy to communicate with and keeps us posted on any schedule changes. He also referred us to helpful salespeople at Majestic for our cultured marble shower and vanity top, and Ferguson's for plumbing fixtures. At Mike's office we found a product line of eco-friendly vanities which we decided to order. Mike and his team have been great to work with. Despite this being our first experience with the cost of home remodeling, we feel we're getting a very good deal as they are bringing several problem areas up to a higher level of quality than the original construction. We feel Mike is honest and trustworthy. He took my concerns seriously about the odor and what might be causing it, and we are very glad we moved forward on this project. We are delighted to have Mike leading this work.
