4 months agoWe have been with McMurtry for 15+ years. They are the best around. We have never had an issue with our service. I have contacted them over the years and asked various questions and they have always answered in a timely manner and taken care of whatever we needed. Luckily, I don't live in an area where my trash service is provided by the city, but if I did, I would not accept the city service and would still pay McMurtry to take care of our trash. It is worth every penny. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for all that you guys do!! -

4 months agoWASTE MANAGEMENT/ REPUBLIC SERVICES is worth the extra $25 I used McMurtry for three years. They're kind of hit or miss. My friends that lived down the street have also had their trash skipped a few times but the 1 time I call because I wasn't going to make it another week the customer service Argued with me and said That my trashcan wasn't out. Then showed me a video, but the video they had was of them driving down the opposite side of the street. 100% do not recommend them very rude customer service And they are not a reliable company -

6 months agoAccording to Nashville's Metropolitan Code, no person shall empty or remove any containers used for garbage or rubbish between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., if those containers are within 300 feet of any residential building or structure. These codes are here to protect the public from be woken up by your noisy trucks. Metro Code 10.20.072. -

8 months agoMcMurty is very reliable and easy to deal with. I can "set my clock" by their pickups. The workers are careful to set the trash bins back, away from the road, so they don't get knocked over by passing cars. The recycling option is a little pricey, but well worth it. I wish that class recycling were available, but I can drop that off myself. -

8 months agoWe love J.E. McMurtry Disposal. The drivers are nice and courteous, and wave to our daughter every morning when she comes out to see them work. They even gave her a mini toy bin. They're on time and also leave the bins back where we had them. You don't always see services take the few seconds to do that. I'm really glad our neighborhood is using JE. Thanks!
