3 years agoWaited in the lobby along with a few other account holders , we weren't acknowledged for about 5 mins , seems like they are understaffed 2 working drive thru and one taking care of the lobby,.... I made a cash deposit at 12:27pm today 11/23/22 and they claim they were having system issues and the cash deposit is still not showing in my account as of 3:29pm....

FAQ
How does the City of Jackson, TN - Government determine pricing for snow removal services?
Snow removal services are provided at no direct cost to residents as part of public road maintenance funded by city taxes and budgets. Pricing decisions are managed through the Public Works Street Department based on winter storm severity and resource allocation needs. Homeowners should contact the 311 line for details on any related fees or programs during storms.
Are you licensed and insured for snow removal work?
The City of Jackson, TN - Government operates all snow removal activities through its Public Works Street Department, which follows municipal standards for licensing and insurance as a government entity. Our teams use city-approved equipment and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations. Residents can verify operational details by visiting 101 E Main Street or calling the 311 line.
Does the City of Jackson, TN - Government handle snow removal on private driveways or sidewalks?
Our snow removal focuses on public roads and streets managed by the Public Works Street Department to maintain traffic safety during winter storms. Private driveways and sidewalks are the responsibility of property owners, though we support overall stormwater operations that aid community-wide clearing. For public road updates, call the 311 line when conditions worsen.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for snow removal?
We prioritize snow removal based on storm intensity, starting with major arterials and emergency routes through the Street Department. Response times vary with weather, but crews deploy as soon as safe after significant accumulation. Call the 311 line for real-time updates on scheduling and progress during events.
What should I expect for cleanup after the City of Jackson, TN - Government completes snow removal on my street?
Snow plows push accumulations to the roadside, which may temporarily block driveways or create piles that melt over time. We do not remove snow from private property or perform additional cleanup on individual lots. Property owners can assist by clearing their own access points once plows pass.
Why is your professional snow removal approach safer than doing it myself on public roads?
Our Street Department uses heavy-duty plows and salt trucks designed for large-scale road clearing, reducing accident risks from untreated icy surfaces. DIY efforts on public roads can interfere with operations and pose hazards to equipment and traffic flow. Professional methods ensure consistent salting and plowing coordinated with traffic safety measures for community protection.
