Great service. Punctual. Good communication. Had a new 4 ton Trane "Choice" unit (one step above builder grade) installed to replace an older unit. Installed within a couple days of quote! Caution to inspect closely... Connected new condenser to existing 40 amp breaker when the tag stated 35 amp max (changed to 30 amp). Gas pipe installed overlapping evap coil cover, so it wasn't accessible (relocated), but valve handle was mangled, and installed upside down (we fixed it). Tstat was not Trane, and not legible with very small numbers (replaced with Trane). No manuals, or paperwork. "Fan On" position didn't move any air (adjusted) Gas line moved, . All issues resolved promptly with a couple service calls, but a little odd they don't have more experienced installers, or quality control. Hope this helps those with new installs in the works!! Love the Trane!..so far:)

I can't say enough good things about RiverTech! They were friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. After having a different company come out and "fix" our AC for $2,000, it went out again just 3 weeks later. That same company returned only to tell us the whole unit needed replacing - quoting $12,000-$14,000 but generously (eye roll) offering to credit our $2,000 toward it. We decided not to go with them and instead called RiverTech. Best decision ever! Within 48 hours, they had a brand new unit installed - and at a fraction of the outrageous price the other company quoted. Highly recommend RiverTech for all your heating and air needs. They'll save you time, money, and frustration!

Last year I had a pretty frustrating experience with another HVAC company. So this summer I reached out to four different companies to try and find someone better. I'm really glad I found RiverTech. Right from the start their communication and professionalism stood out. They were on time every step of the way, gave me a fair price, and installed a solid system. They even fixed a bunch of things the last company had done wrong. The quality of their work was a big step up. One thing I really appreciated was how they handled the delivery. Because of the slope of my property, all the other companies said I'd need to pay for a crane or special equipment to get the unit in. Some quotes added between 800 and 1600 dollars just for that. RiverTech simply brought a few extra guys, carried it in by hand, and never tried to tack on anything extra. They just got it done. My old system had completely failed, and they got the new one in fast. Everything went just like they said it would. They showed up when they said they would and followed through on everything. Later on, when I thought I had another issue, they came right out and found it was just a breaker problem, totally unrelated to their work. But they still took the time to check it out and point me in the right direction. That kind of honesty and quick response meant a lot. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend RiverTech. Great service and great people.

FAQ

Does Rivertech Heating & Air Conditioning offer free estimates for HVAC services?

We provide free estimates to assess your heating or air conditioning needs accurately. Our quotes factor in Chattanooga's local climate, system size, and any required repairs or installations like condenser units or ductwork. This upfront pricing helps you understand total costs without surprises.

Are you licensed and insured for HVAC work?

Rivertech Heating & Air Conditioning carries full licensing, bonding, and insurance as required for HVAC contractors, electricians, and gasfitters in Tennessee. We meet local codes for safe handling of refrigerants and installations. Proof of our credentials is available upon request to ensure your peace of mind.

Does Rivertech Heating & Air Conditioning handle ductwork installation and HVAC piping in attics or basements?

We install large ductwork in basements or crawl spaces and handle new HVAC piping, drainage, and insulation in attics. Our team ensures proper airflow, static pressure, and code-compliant setups tailored to your home's layout. These steps prevent common issues like leaks or restricted performance.

What is your typical timeline for HVAC installations and repairs?

We schedule work to fit your needs, with most repairs completed same-day and installations taking 1-2 days depending on scope. Our service van arrives within the agreed window, equipped for jobs like outdoor condenser setups or roof access. Clear communication keeps you updated on every step.

Does Rivertech Heating & Air Conditioning clean up after HVAC jobs like condensate drain or unit installations?

We leave your home clean and tidy after every job, removing debris from installations such as condensate drain lines or attic piping. Drop cloths and shoe covers protect floors and surfaces during work. This practice minimizes disruption and ensures your space is ready for immediate use.

Why is hiring you safer and better than attempting HVAC DIY projects yourself?

Professional installations follow strict codes for refrigerant handling, electrical connections, and drainage to avoid hazards like leaks or fires that DIY often misses. We use precise sizing and testing for efficiency, unlike rule-of-thumb guesses that lead to poor performance or breakdowns. Our experience with Chattanooga's humid climate ensures systems last longer without costly errors.
