12 months agoMy carpet looked like some old carpet that they had and when the installer cut the carpet where the two other pieces meet it left a seam. I asked him about it and he said after I vacuum a few times it wouldn't show. It's coming up and the carpet looks like it's very old which isn't that long I had it installed

FAQ
How does Rabalais Flooring LLC determine carpet installation pricing?
We calculate estimates based on three main factors: the type of carpet you choose, the quality and thickness of padding underneath, and the complexity of the installation work itself. This includes measuring your space accurately, assessing any subfloor preparation needed, and accounting for seam placement and stretching requirements. We recommend contacting us directly for a free estimate so we can evaluate your specific project and provide you with a detailed quote.
Are you licensed and insured for carpet installation work?
Rabalais Flooring LLC maintains the proper licensing and insurance coverage required to perform professional carpet installation. When you contact us, we can provide you with our state registration details and insurance information so you have full confidence in our credentials. This protects both you and your home throughout the installation process.
Does Rabalais Flooring LLC handle old carpet removal and subfloor preparation?
Yes, we handle the complete installation process from start to finish. This includes removing your old flooring, inspecting the subfloor for damage or unevenness, making necessary repairs, and preparing the surface properly before laying new carpet. We also install tack strips and padding according to manufacturer specifications to ensure your new carpet performs well and maintains its warranty coverage.
What should I expect on installation day, and how long will the work take?
Rabalais Flooring LLC will arrive with a professional team ready to handle all the heavy lifting, including moving furniture out of the room and clearing obstacles. The timeline depends on the size of your space and complexity of the layout, but most residential installations are completed in a single day. We recommend clearing the room beforehand and having someone available to answer questions, though our team can work independently if needed.
How does Rabalais Flooring LLC handle seams, and why is professional installation better than DIY?
We carefully measure and cut carpet to minimize visible seams, then use professional seaming techniques with seam tape and seam iron to create nearly invisible joints. Professional power-stretching is critical to eliminate wrinkles and ensure the carpet stays taut and secure over time. DIY installation lacks the specialized tools and expertise needed to achieve this quality, and improper stretching can void manufacturer warranties and lead to premature wear, wrinkles, and loose edges.
What happens to old carpet and debris after you finish the installation?
We remove all old flooring and dispose of the waste properly, leaving your home clean and ready to use. Ask us about our removal and haul-away process when you get your estimate, as some projects may have additional fees depending on the scope of work. Once installation is complete, we inspect the finished work to ensure uniform texture, secure edges, and invisible seams before we leave your home.
