4 months agoScheduled time and date. Confirmed time and date through text. Scott no called. No show. No answering calls the time of appointment or even after the appointment. Screens calls. I definitely would give no stars. Very unprofessional. -

2 years agoDon't fall for the false reviews others are paying for, Kevin and his team are the real deal when it comes to wildlife removal. I had a top rated company come to my house and attempt to sell me on a $400 weekly trapping fee and $800 in unneeded repairs (new drier vent, plumbing boots, etc) that were company "protocol". The other company's technician had a construction background, which I think was telling. Thankfully a friend tipped me off to Critter Control. They showed in a timely manner and immediately investigated my attic crawling to farthest corner going face to face with a moma raccoon and her babies. They helped me develop and implement a strategy to convince the mom to leave with the babies. Other company wanted to trap the mom and leave the babies to die in my attic, saying it would only stink for a short period of time. Critter Control's knowledge went well beyond my week long research of internet resources and within 24 hours the mom took her babies and moved out on her own. The entrance point is now sealed and my house has been raccoon free for over a week. I feel forever in debt for the great service Critter Control provided and actually wanted to pay more than they were willing to accept. It was a small fraction of my other "free estimates". Critter Control is honest, fair and know what they are doing with wildlife. Highly recommend. -

2 years agoHired them for a rat problem they took payment on their first visit and put some traps out, they never caught anything just came back by the house when we weren't home collected all the traps and left. Never even told us-my husband went to check if they caught anything because we were still hearing the rats running around at night and all the traps were gone. We both tried calling and left messages- they never returned our calls. Guess they just took the money and ran & we still have a rat problem. -

3 years agoCalled Critter Control on Thursday morning for a terrible smell in our powder room. It smelled like something had died in the walls or the ceiling vent. They came out the same day and the smell was gone upon their arrival. They investigated and found nothing. Offered a couple of explanations of what the smell could have been could have been and checked our entire property outside. These guys were very knowledgeable and honest. Can't recommend them enough.

FAQ
Does Critter Control of Charleston, SC offer free estimates for wildlife removal?
We provide free property inspections to assess wildlife issues like raccoons in attics or bats in chimneys. Pricing depends on the inspection findings, including the extent of entry points, trapping needs, and any required repairs or sealing. This approach ensures you receive a fair, customized quote without unnecessary upsells.
Are you licensed and insured for wildlife control work?
Critter Control of Charleston, SC holds the necessary licensing and insurance required for safe and legal wildlife removal in the area. Our team follows humane trapping and exclusion methods to handle animals responsibly. Homeowners benefit from this protection, as it covers any potential incidents during inspections or repairs.
Does Critter Control of Charleston, SC handle raccoon removal from attics and repair the damage?
We specialize in removing raccoons from attics using humane trapping and exclusion techniques, as seen with baby raccoons found in insulation. Our thorough property inspections identify entry points like holes in walls or eaves, which we seal permanently. We also repair damage, such as applying exclusion foam to affected areas like suitcases or structural spots.
What is your typical timeline for scheduling and completing a wildlife control job?
We confirm appointments via text and aim for same-day service when possible, such as for urgent issues like dead animals causing odors in walls or vents. Arrival windows are set clearly, with our Mount Pleasant team arriving on time for inspections and initial trapping. Full jobs, including exclusion and repairs, typically wrap up within days depending on the infestation size.
What cleanup and after-care does Critter Control of Charleston, SC provide after wildlife removal?
We remove all traps, debris, and animal waste from attics, crawlspaces, and other areas after successful control. Properties are left clean, with entry points sealed to prevent re-entry and any damage repaired. This includes deodorizing spaces like powder rooms where dead animals caused smells, restoring your home to normal.
Why is your professional wildlife removal approach safer and better than DIY methods?
Our method uses humane live traps and one-way exclusion devices tailored to species like raccoons or bats, avoiding the risks of DIY traps that may fail or injure animals improperly. Professionals inspect and seal all entry points thoroughly, such as eaves and crawlspaces, preventing future invasions that amateurs often miss. This targeted strategy reduces health hazards from diseases or structural damage, ensuring long-term results without repeated efforts.
