3 years agoThe installation technicians were on time and friendly. I have no complaints with them. However, the system they installed is extremely noisy, much more than we expected. It's not just that it's loud. When it starts up, it makes a loud squealing noise that is akin to nails on a chalkboard. We mentioned this immediately after installation, but they said it was "normal" and that if we'd wanted less noise, we should have paid for a more expensive unit. The unit is from the legacy Bryant line, but I really did not expect the new unit to be louder than our 20 year old system. They said we could add some kind of blanket that might help, but I don't want to throw more money into this without knowing if it will work. We had the system installed last summer. It cools the house nicely, so no complaints there. I just wish I'd known how annoying this sound would be before putting in the system. -

7 years agoUsed this company b/c we were selling our home and the buyer's repair addendum listed he needed proper documentation that a certified company would do a tune up on a/c and furnace. This company was a nightmare to work with--Technician was fine but the office staff, was unprofessional and flat out flaky with my case. I called mid Oct. to schedule the tune up and stressed the fact that we would need a copy of the full report to send to our realtor as this was needed for the sale of our home. They assured me this would be done. At this time, payment was made as we were told it would be cheaper to pay ahead. Fast forward roughly two weeks to after the technician came and we are two days before the closing date deadline...still no invoice receipt of the payment made or that report that was promised. I called and told them I needed that soon. They didn't have any answers..called me back an hour later and told me they would "look into it" and that their system was down and would call me the following morning with more answers. Never got that call. My realtor had to get involved and gave them a call and they had promised her they would have the documents in her inbox by 10 am morning of closing date. Day of closing and I receive a call from them at noon, keep in mind this is past the 10 am time they promised my realtor. I was told at this time that the reason they never provided that was because there was an "outstanding unpaid balance" because the "card didn't go through when the technician serviced the house" --i'm sorry, it took you three weeks since I scheduled to realize no payment was made? Which, after confirming with bank statements, was false and I was in fact double charged. I immediately called and told her I was double charged and that a card was never ran by the technician because we paid ahead and I knew something was fishy. They argued with me and insisted that their technician did run a card. False! And your records should show we already paid! She told me she would "look into it" and "investigate." I never got a call back and from that point on has been a back and forth of me having to call her to track down my $258 that was double charged. I kept getting some ** excuse from her every time that she would "have this taken care of for you by the end of the week." never got that call, but hey, got my money back at least. -

7 years agoHad a quote for replacement first since it was free of charge. Jason gave me a quote with thorough explanation. He pointed the info that I may want to hear and answered all of my questions. I also had a technician, Oren, come over to diagnose the failure of the furnace. He showed me what was wrong and it was not a major failure, so that he could repair right away! All staff I talked seemed very nice and honest. -

FAQ
Does Efficiency HVAC offer free estimates for HVAC installations?
We provide free quotes for HVAC replacements and other services, including a thorough explanation of the work involved. Our quotes cover proper sizing, duct sealing, and refrigerant handling to ensure your system runs efficiently. This helps homeowners understand the full scope without upfront costs.
Are you licensed and insured for HVAC work?
Efficiency HVAC carries the necessary licensing as a certified HVAC contractor and gasfitter, along with proper insurance coverage. We meet local requirements for handling heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, and refrigerant work. Homeowners can request proof of our certifications to verify compliance.
Does Efficiency HVAC handle duct sealing and outdoor condenser installations?
We specialize in duct sealing to improve airflow and efficiency, along with installing outdoor HVAC condenser units next to homes. Our team also manages indoor air handlers and insulated ductwork in attics for complete system performance. These steps address common issues like leaks and poor ventilation.
What should I expect for arrival times and scheduling with you?
Our installation technicians arrive on time within agreed windows, keeping you informed of any changes. We schedule based on your needs for maintenance, repairs, or installations, drawing from years of field experience. Clear timelines help minimize disruptions to your home or business.
Does Efficiency HVAC clean up after HVAC installations and handle debris?
We leave your property clean by removing waste and debris from installations, such as old units and packaging materials. Technicians use protective measures like drop cloths during work on condensers and attic ductwork. This ensures your home returns to its normal state promptly.
Why is hiring you for HVAC work safer and better than doing it yourself?
Our professional approach includes proper equipment sizing, duct sealing, and precise refrigerant charging, which prevent common DIY errors like noise issues or inefficiency. Years in the field allow us to evaluate airflow, static pressure, and system balance for year-round comfort. Attempting these tasks without expertise risks safety hazards, code violations, and reduced system lifespan.
