2 weeks agoWe experienced a serious issue involving tile supplied for our new construction home. After the original installation was damaged during a grout correction process, we were told the tile would be fully replaced. The replacement tile that was ordered was not the same product specified in our contract. It was sourced from a different supplier, carried a different product name, and once installed had noticeably different coloring (more purple/black tones and a different finish). It does not match the tile already installed in the shower floor of the same bathroom (see photo). When we raised concerns about the mismatch and the substitution of product, we did not receive a response. We are now left with a mismatched installation in a brand-new home and will need to correct it at our own expense. Buyers should verify that any replacement materials match the exact manufacturer and product originally selected before installation proceeds. -
