1 year agoOur builder referred us to Palmetto Tile. I'm easily overwhelmed so I wasn't looking forward to picking tile, grout ... However, we were greeted by a smiling Kerry Walker who was a delight! She is an excellent listener, stayed at or below our tile budget, and schlepped heavy LARGE pieces of tile to help us choose floor and wall tile. We haven't installed it yet, but without her and other staff who weighed in, we'd still be there looking at their absolutely beautiful options through next week! Many, many options are in stock/ready to pick up--a win for our tight schedule. Kerry made it easy and FUN! -

2 years agoWent there looking for guidance on tile selection. Went with reccomendations from Leighanne, was not advised of any return policies prior to my order. Tile arrived and it did not match.Tile cost me over $800, to return would cost me $500. Unfortunately I lost my original estimate, but pretty sure I got and paid for the wrong tile. I dont advise using this company as they will make a mistake and you have to pay for it. -

2 years agoThis place is awesome! The outside is unassuming but they have a lovely showroom with a really wide selection of tiles. We worked with a woman in sales named Catherine and she was really a pleasure to deal with and humored our wild tastes with grace and expertise. The tile we ended up getting was slightly more expensive than what we had looked at in the big box stores and discount tile spots, but we were actually excited about it instead of just finding it acceptable. I highly recommend them for any tile projects, they made the process so pleasant and easy. -

3 years agoEcon-O-Bug loves Palmetto Tile. We average about 20 to 30 bathroom renovations a year and I have always had a great experience there. Our clients really like the customer service when picking out tile, grout, etc.. Very good business, recommended...

FAQ
How does Palmetto Tile Columbia determine pricing for carpet installation?
We base pricing on the square footage of the area, the type of carpet selected, and the complexity of the installation including measuring, cutting, seaming, and finishing. Custom quotes are provided after an on-site assessment to ensure accuracy for your residential or commercial project. This approach accounts for materials and labor to deliver value as noted in customer experiences with fair prices.
Do you offer free estimates for flooring projects?
Palmetto Tile Columbia provides free estimates to help you plan your carpet, tile, or countertop installation without upfront costs. Our team visits your space at the Huger Street location or on-site to measure and discuss options. This allows you to understand the full scope and costs before committing.
Is Palmetto Tile Columbia licensed and insured for carpet and tile installation?
We maintain proper licensing and insurance for all our services as a carpet contractor, flooring contractor, tile installer, and countertop professional. Homeowners can verify these details directly with us or through state resources since such information is self-reported. Our professional team ensures compliance for safe and secure project execution.
What should I expect for scheduling and arrival times with you?
We schedule installations promptly to fit your timeline, often accommodating last-minute needs as shown in customer feedback about quick fittings. Our team arrives within agreed windows during business hours from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday, with extended Wednesday evenings by appointment. Clear communication keeps you informed of any adjustments for a smooth process.
Does Palmetto Tile Columbia handle old carpet removal and cleanup after installation?
We manage complete carpet removal along with precise installation, leaving your space clean and ready to use. Our process includes handling debris from old materials during the job to minimize disruption. Professional finishing ensures floors are seamless and tidy upon completion.
Why is professional carpet installation by you safer and better than DIY?
Our experts use specialized tools for accurate measuring, cutting, seaming, and finishing, avoiding common DIY errors like uneven seams or buckling that can lead to premature wear. This precision ensures longevity and safety, especially in high-traffic residential or commercial areas. Professionals also select appropriate materials and techniques suited to your space, reducing risks of injury or costly fixes.
