3 years agoI used Howie Tarr to renovate my entire home and I am so glad I did! Howie and his office were responsive, professional and on time. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and not only did it with a smile, they did it quickly. They've been in business for 30+ years and it shows. I truly felt that howie and his crew treated my home as if it was their own. Their finish work and attention to detail was unbelievably on point and I am not necessarily the easiest person to please. They were also very helpful with some design ideas. Super highly recommended! -

4 years agoEntered a contract with tarrs home improvement on May 7,2021, In which they stated work would start around august of 2021 and would take 12-14 weeks to complete. As of June 30 of 2022, the contract is not complete. The project manager of our project was incompetent and was fired. The office staff made empty promises and is curt to customers on the phone or in person on multiple occasions. I recommend to steer clear of them if you want to get anything done in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. They continue to use the pandemic as excuse for time delay, but will not assist customer with time or cost due to being out of their house beyond estimated completion dates. Their work, when they do show up, is good, but communications with the office and with Howard are not the best. -

5 years agoHighly recommend as I just completed my large renovation of my home. Howie the owner put everything I needed and asked for into his quote as detailed as possible which was very different from other bids I received for my project. The timeframe was given 4 months for a large renovation and somehow finished on time as I was not expecting things to go as smoothly as they did. Barry was my project manager and was visiting numerous times a week to make sure everyone was on the job site and seeing if anything was needed. This gave me a piece of mind that someone was assisting me when I had questions. Definitely had a ton of them. Some items I ordered were delayed and defective, but the team was wonderful in not delaying anything and not having any excuses not to be working. I think the biggest part of my recommendation is that they are Efficient, Well-Organized, and the quality was something I am very pleased with. Timing was great, but I don't feel like any corners were cut during the renovation. The back office with Jenn & Brigid kept me posted on who was coming to the site, and what to expect for each week the house was rebuilt. The renovation was an extension, addition, and renovation of Kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Attached are few photos. Before, After, and Kitchen!!
