They worked with our designer, Melissa, at M Hill Rees Interiors, to finish our basement, creating a lounge, office, gym, bathroom and utility closet. Craftsmanship was top notch, particularly on an accent wall that David did. They worked with us to stay within our budget, clearly outlining the scope of work and adjusting as needed. Highly recommend scheduling weekly touch base meetings to keep the project moving on schedule. Would use them again for sure. -

1 year agoMy husband and I had a specific concept in mind when we decided to remodel our kitchen. We wanted a Mid-century modern design to replace our Contractor-grade kitchen. A 5 year-old kitchen should not have failed in the ways that ours did so we went into the process of choosing just the right Contractor to replace it with much caution. We had 3 different bids to consider from the DeShongs, another local contractor and a large kitchen remodeler. After we met with Kari and David, we knew that they were the perfect match to deliver our vision. From concept to contract to execution, the process was flawless. The quality and thoughtfulness of each item selected for our kitchen was expertly installed.....precision even being given to accommodate uneven walls. Every single detail and finish was done to our complete satisfaction. We simply could not be more pleased with the final product in terms of looks and functionality. This was truly a boutique experience and we would recommend the DeShongs without any reservation. -

2 years agoWe had been wanting to have our dark and outdated kitchen remodeled for some time, and we had gathered some pretty definite ideas about what we wanted. We had even gone to some kitchen remodeling showrooms to look at options. We also we needed improvements to the lighting and wanted to modernize our space by removing a textured ceiling. DeShong Design and Remodeling offered us an opportunity to get all the work done at once, from demolition to painting, from cabinetry to crown molding, and everything in between. When we met with Kari and Dave, they seemed to understand our vision immediately and were full of ideas to make the dream come true. Probably the biggest surprise was that DeShong was able to get custom cabinetry through M.W. Custom Woodwork. We couldn't have imagined how wonderfully our made-to-order cabinets, painted to our specifically selected color, would enhance our space. There was no drawback - not even the price, which was less than we were quoted for stock cabinets at a kitchen showroom. Marcus from M.W was a joy to work with - a perfectionist in the best possible way. Kari helped us source the perfect countertops and backsplash. It was amazing how she was able to find exactly what we wanted! Their electrician Valerie did an excellent job installing our new lighting, and Dave and his crew did the construction work expertly. Now as we look at the finished product, it gives us immense pleasure and there is nothing that we would change. We had a great experience with DeShong and would recommend them to anyone. They were dependable, responsive, and the quality of their workmanship is obvious to everyone who sees our fabulous new kitchen. -

2 years agoDeShong Construction did an excellent job of remodeling our 1950's fireplace. David constructed a beautiful handmade mantel and had his assistant tile a beautiful, more modern brick over the old. It's lovely! Their work is very professional, of good value and good quality. I would recommend them to anyone for their remodeling needs.
