2 months agoI would like to say Elite Fuel is a great company! My furnace went out last night and they were at my house within one hour of my call! Sheila was so nice and helpful on the phone and the tech Connor who came out was polite and told me exactly what was going on and heat on back in one hour. I've been getting my oil from them for many years. -

2 months agoElite is a role model for customer service and teamwork! This company goes above and beyond to help, and everyone is also kind and understanding---even with a customer who is frantic because she needed oil before the big storm and wasn't paying attention to her tank level! Thank you, everyone at Elite!!!!! -

2 months agoI try not to post negative but I was hoping the situation would be better with new ownership. For 9 years we have had issues with Angie's poor attitude and customer service. We stayed because we liked Joe. My husband started dealing with the company because of the way Angie spoke to me, constant attitude and a phone call seemed to be inconvenient for her. Today he told me we are going with a different company because he was told we would get a 5% discount if we paid in 5 days. He was told this when he called for the delivery last week and it was delivered I think Tuesday or Wednesday. He called to pay the bill and asked if the 5% was applied and Angie not only told him that isn't a thing she told him the person he spoke to wasn't there. He was the one who took the call so we were confused because we got the delivery so someone took his call for the order. Anyhow my point is it is not about saving 40 it's the point that the amount of money we all spend on oil, we should not have to settle for being talked down to or disrespected. I am sorry to post a one star because I know nothing about the new ownership or way they run the business.

FAQ
How does Elite Fuel Service determine pricing for HVAC installations and repairs?
We base pricing on factors like equipment sizing through a load calculation that considers your home's layout, insulation, windows, and local climate in Reading, PA. This ensures the furnace, air conditioner, or ductwork matches your seasonal needs without over- or under-sizing. Quotes include labor, materials, and any necessary permits, with details provided upfront to avoid surprises.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured for HVAC work?
Elite Fuel Service carries the required licensing, bonding, and insurance for HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance in Pennsylvania. Our team holds EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants safely. We comply with local permitting and inspection requirements to protect your home and investment.
Does Elite Fuel Service handle ductwork evaluation and repairs along with furnaces and air conditioners?
We inspect ductwork for leaks, restrictions, kinks, and airflow issues during HVAC service to ensure optimal system performance. Proper duct design prevents inefficiency, noise, and premature equipment wear in homes and businesses. If modifications are needed, we propose changes to meet manufacturer specifications.
What should I expect for scheduling and arrival times with you?
We schedule appointments in specific time slots and arrive punctually as planned, whether for heating oil delivery or HVAC service at our 212 Slater Rd location in Reading, PA. Elite Fuel Service responds promptly when you need repairs or maintenance for your heating and cooling systems. Clear communication helps you plan around our visit.
What happens to debris and waste after Elite Fuel Service completes an HVAC job?
We use drop cloths and protective measures during installations or repairs to keep your home clean. All old parts, packaging, and debris from furnaces, air conditioners, or tune-ups get removed and disposed of properly. Your space is left neat, with a walkthrough to confirm everything meets your expectations.
Why is hiring you for HVAC installations safer and better than doing it yourself?
Professional setups follow strict standards for refrigerant charging, electrical connections, line set sizing, and airflow testing, which DIY attempts often miss and can lead to inefficiency or breakdowns. We perform load calculations and duct inspections tailored to your home's specifics, avoiding common pitfalls like improper sizing that raises energy bills. This approach extends equipment life and ensures safe operation year-round.
