Jon was great, he came out super fast when our furnace broke. He gave us the pros and cons of a repair vs new unit. We decided on a new unit and within days he had the new unit acquired, did the install in one day, and also cleaned up our AC. We will be regular customers moving forward!

I wish I could give John and Mueller Mechanical 50 stars!! I recently had a plumbing emergency in my basement. I went downstairs to my basement on Monday morning to find a flood covering 3/4 of my basement floor. I called my regular plumber but they were on vacation. I went on my neighbor FB group to look for plumber recommendations, a few people recommended Mueller Mechanical. John answered the phone right away. He arranged to meet me at 1 PM. He quickly figured out what the problem was then left to purchase the supplies/hot water tank needed. In the meantime, he sent 2 very pleasant men to clean up the water. John came back and they completed the repairs in a timely manner. I honestly, didn't have to even clean anything up after them (shocker!). I also have to add the work was very reasonably priced plus they didn't seem to mind my dogs barking at them. Will use MM for all future HVAC/plumbing needs!

FAQ

How does Mueller Mechanical HVAC determine pricing for furnace and boiler work?

We provide free estimates after a thorough assessment of your system. During the initial visit, our technician inspects your equipment, identifies the issue, and explains repair versus replacement options with cost breakdowns for each. This transparent approach lets you understand exactly what you're paying for before any work begins, so you can make an informed decision about your heating system.

Are you licensed and insured to perform HVAC work in Philadelphia?

Mueller Mechanical HVAC is fully licensed, bonded, and insured to perform all HVAC services in Pennsylvania. We carry workers' compensation and general liability insurance to protect you and your home. Our team is also EPA 608 certified for refrigerant handling, which is required by federal law for anyone servicing air conditioning and heat pump systems.

Does Mueller Mechanical HVAC handle design issues like uneven heating between floors?

Yes, we diagnose and correct design flaws in heating systems that cause comfort problems like cold second floors. Our technicians evaluate your ductwork, airflow, and piping configuration to identify restrictions or imbalances. We then propose modifications-whether duct adjustments, zone improvements, or piping corrections-to ensure even heat distribution throughout your home.

What should I expect for scheduling and arrival times?

Mueller Mechanical HVAC schedules appointments at specific times and arrives exactly when promised. We understand that your time matters, especially during heating emergencies. When you call, we'll confirm your appointment window and keep you informed if any changes occur, so you're not left waiting or guessing about when our team will arrive.

How does Mueller Mechanical HVAC handle cleanup after installation or repair work?

We protect your home during all work by using drop cloths and taking care to minimize mess. After completing furnace replacements, boiler installations, or other major work, our team cleans up debris and leaves your space in good condition. We remove old equipment responsibly and ensure your home is ready for normal use once the job is finished.

Why is professional HVAC installation better than attempting repairs yourself?

Professional installation ensures your system operates at peak efficiency and safety. Improper installation can reduce efficiency, shorten equipment life, and create safety hazards with refrigerant handling or gas connections. Our technicians follow manufacturer specifications for refrigerant charge, line set sizing, electrical connections, and airflow setup. We also test system performance after installation and handle all required permits and inspections, protecting both your investment and your home.
