Our service with 1 hour heating and cooling was phenomenal! Our technician, Jason got here within 3 hours of our call and had everything handled. After half an hour he knew exactly what was needed to fix our issues. He drove from York to Lancaster to pick up the parts needed and after returning had our furnace back up and running in 15 minutes. The company was more then willing to work with us for payment and I will always recommend 1 hour heating and cooling to anyone in need. Great service and more then willing to get everyone whatever they need! Jason was the best and very professional!

Jason came and troubleshot and fixed the issue with my heating system in no time. From the time I called (about 11:30 pm the previous night) to the time the problem was fixed by Jason, the total time I was without heat was about 10 hours so you really can't beat that type of speedy service. Jason was very friendly and accommodating with my dog too, who can be a big pain in the rear end when company comes over.

Well 4 years into having my propane and cooling system installed. We signed up for the monthly plan to have them service every winter and summer. The biggest issue from the start was unbalanced heating and cooling. We said something every time a tech came out to service the unit about the unbalanced temperature. They would tinker around and say they did some adjustments. Never seen a change. The techs would then proceed to try and sell us different accessories to ad to the unit. Our response would be, why wasn't this suggested in the beginning when the unit was installed? No real clear answer. A week and half ago a tech came out to do our winter check. Told them about the unbalanced air and they said they will make sure to take care of the situation. The tech was at our house for over two hours. The tech was very upset with the way the duct work was run and said this isn't the way it should be. The tech spoke with management back and forth several times. Management suggested the homeowners need to reach out to them about the issue and then they'll schedule an appointment for someone to come out to do whatever needs done and they would need to pay. The tech said, this was not done correctly from the start and the owner has already expressed the issue. Tech left and said someone will contact you. Received a phone call from a scheduler to have someone come out and work the ducts. Two techs came to the house a week later. We had a relative at the house in the beginning due to not being able to be there right away. We arrived about an hour after the techs were to arrived. The techs were gone already. Asked the relative if the techs left any notes or information about what they did. Relative said no notes were left and mentioned they adjusted some things. The relative then said the one tech saw a ring camera. The tech spoke into the ring camera to give information about what they did. Well the ring camera has no battery and the message didn't come across. Waited a few days to see if an email or phone call came through explaining the work done. No email or phone call, other then an email saying my monthly payment was ready to be paid. Called them to update my payment information and give them payment. Spoke to the person on the phone and explained everything in this review. The person on the phone stated they would have someone reach out to me to let me know what work was done. Two days have gone by and still no information. We spent a lot of money on our system and used them to upgrade our electrical panel. This isn't the only issue we had with them. Two years after the unit was installed it failed and was told it would cost $2000 to fix the unit. That's another long story but I have reviews about that situation. If you plan to use this company, use caution.

FAQ

How does One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Lancaster determine pricing for HVAC work?

We provide detailed written estimates that break down all costs, including equipment model numbers, labor, permits, materials, and any additional services. Our estimates are transparent so you understand exactly where your money is going. We recommend getting estimates from multiple contractors to compare pricing, but remember that unusually low estimates often indicate corners being cut on quality or materials.

Are you licensed and insured?

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Lancaster maintains proper licensing and insurance to protect you from liability in case of accidents or property damage during the project. We can provide proof of our credentials upon request. Our team also carries EPA 608 certification, which is required nationwide for anyone handling refrigerant.

Does One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Lancaster handle both furnace installations and air conditioning system work?

We handle the full range of heating and cooling needs, including furnace installations, air conditioning units, heat pump systems, and ductwork. Our team can evaluate your home's specific requirements and recommend whether a heat pump or furnace/AC combination is best for your region and climate. We also inspect and modify ductwork as needed to ensure proper airflow and system performance.

What should I expect on installation day?

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Lancaster follows a professional installation process that includes protecting your home with drop cloths and shoe covers, completing the work efficiently, and conducting performance testing before we leave. We'll walk you through system operation, maintenance requirements, and warranty registration so you're fully prepared to use your new equipment. Clear communication about timeline and logistics helps reduce stress throughout the project.

How does One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Lancaster ensure my system is sized correctly for my home?

We perform a proper Manual J load calculation before installation, which analyzes your home's specific characteristics including layout, insulation levels, window types and placement, air leakage rates, local climate data, and occupancy. This detailed assessment ensures your equipment is sized precisely for your needs rather than using rough estimates. Correct sizing is critical because oversized or undersized systems reduce efficiency and shorten equipment lifespan.

What maintenance services do you offer after installation?

We offer maintenance plans that include seasonal tune-ups and priority service to help preserve your system's efficiency and catch issues early. Our maintenance visits include inspections and cleanings of key components like refrigerant levels, electrical connections, airflow, and condensate drains. Regular maintenance extends equipment life and helps you avoid unexpected breakdowns during peak heating or cooling seasons.
