14 years ago$7,250 Neil installed a new water heater, furnace and central air conditioner. Worked with us on removing old equipment first and then installing new equipment a couple days later after we had some waterproofing work done in our basement. Neil did everything he said he would exactly when he said he would do it.There was a small technical correction required by the city inspector. Neil fixed the problem and was onsite when the inspector returned to be sure everything was correct. The inspector commented to me what a professional job Neil had done on the install and that the minor correction he requested was challenging for anyone. I would also note that Neil would not take one dollar until the final inspection was passed. No deposit, nothing. Because of the scheduling issues of the inspection and re inspection this meant he waited about three weeks before being paid. Pretty unusual and shows a lot of confidence in his work. Also makes you as a buyer feel secure.

FAQ
Does My Mechanical Heating and Cooling provide free estimates for HVAC services?
We offer free, no-obligation estimates tailored to your home's specific HVAC needs, such as furnace repairs or air conditioner installations. Our quotes detail labor, parts, and any required permits to give you a clear picture of costs upfront. This approach helps you understand the full scope without surprises.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured for HVAC work?
My Mechanical Heating and Cooling holds all necessary licensing, bonding, and insurance required for HVAC services in Lancaster, PA, including handling refrigerants per EPA standards. We carry workers' compensation and general liability coverage to protect your property during installations or repairs. Proof of these is available upon request before we start any job.
Can My Mechanical Heating and Cooling handle furnace replacements and central air conditioner installations?
We manage complete furnace replacements, central air conditioner installations, and related tasks like removing old equipment in stages for minimal disruption. Our team assesses your setup to ensure proper sizing and efficiency through Pennsylvania's seasons. Photos of our work show diagnostics on outdoor units and filter changes in indoor systems.
What is your typical timeline for HVAC installations and how do you schedule arrivals?
You can expect us to coordinate removal of old equipment first if needed, followed by installation a few days later to fit your schedule. We provide clear arrival windows and communicate any adjustments due to permits or unexpected findings. Our process includes post-install testing to verify performance before completion.
Does My Mechanical Heating and Cooling clean up after HVAC service and handle waste disposal?
We use drop cloths and protective measures during service to keep your home clean, then thoroughly remove all debris and old equipment at the end. Waste from installations, like discarded furnaces or AC units, is disposed of responsibly per local regulations. Your space is left ready for immediate use with no mess behind.
Why is hiring you for HVAC maintenance safer and more effective than doing it yourself?
Our technicians follow industry standards for tasks like refrigerant handling, duct inspections, and static pressure measurements, which require specialized tools and certifications that DIY lacks. This prevents common issues like improper sizing or leaks that reduce efficiency and shorten system life. Professional verification ensures optimal airflow and safety, avoiding risks like electrical hazards or voided warranties.
