1 year agoWe (Weaver's Carpet & Tile) did a job for Eric Burger/Susquehanna Valley Builders that was completed in late 2021. Working with Eric was ok, but the real concern is that he has not paid for the work completed. There was no disputing the costs as they were quoted before work started. He just has not paid. If you are doing work for Eric, beware! If you are considering buying from Eric, beware. Contractors that do this probably aren't trustworthy. -

FAQ
How does Susquehanna Valley Builders determine pricing for general contracting projects?
We base pricing on the scope of work, materials needed, and labor required for each project from foundations to custom finishes. Homeowners receive detailed quotes after an initial site visit to assess specifics. This approach ensures transparency on what is included in the contract price and any potential contingencies.
Are you licensed and insured for general contracting work?
Susquehanna Valley Builders carries the necessary licensing, general liability insurance, and workers' compensation coverage required for projects in Harrisburg, PA. Our subcontractors meet the same standards to protect your property and ensure legal compliance. Homeowners can request documentation to verify these credentials before starting work.
Does Susquehanna Valley Builders handle tasks like framing, roofing, and interior finishes seen in your photos?
We manage full general contracting projects including framing and sheathing for new home construction, roof truss installation, and custom interior work such as kitchens, laundry rooms, and powder rooms. Our crew coordinates all phases from start to finish using local expertise in the Susquehanna Valley. This comprehensive scope covers the specific tasks shown in project photos.
What should I expect for timelines and scheduling with you?
We provide a detailed construction schedule with milestones once the project scope is defined, outlining the estimated timeline from start to finish. Arrival windows are communicated in advance, and our team accounts for factors like weather or supply issues to minimize delays. Regular updates keep homeowners informed on progress and any adjustments needed.
How does Susquehanna Valley Builders handle cleanup and debris removal after work?
We remove all waste and debris from the job site daily to keep your property safe and accessible. At project completion, our crew performs a thorough cleanup, leaving the home ready for use. This includes sweeping, trash hauling, and ensuring no materials are left behind.
Why is hiring you better than attempting a DIY build?
Our professional approach uses established quality control measures and coordinates permits, inspections, and subcontractors for safer, code-compliant results that last. DIY often leads to delays, safety risks, and costly fixes from errors in framing or finishes. We apply local know-how to deliver straightforward builds without the pitfalls of inexperienced work.
