2 months agoJason did a fabulous job at fencing my property. I recently built and ADU in my backyard for my mom and Jason fenced the whole area. He not only built the fence between my neighbor and I but also put a fence between my mother and my houses along with a beautiful gate between us in the backyard and a double gate on the ally side, even added sweet little hearts in the gates to fill the space with love. Thank you so much for the amazing quality. Jason also is so easy to work with and beyond easy to communicate with. I highly recommend him! -

10 months agoJ.A.S contracting just replaced a shared fence and garden gate between me and my two neighbors, and I am so pleased with the result. Jason was responsive, honest, and professional during the bid process. His pricing was fair and he took time to directly answer my detailed questions when planning the work. His crew was able to begin the job a week earlier than anticipated, and completed the project in half the time I was expecting (two days instead of the 3-4 I anticipated. Most contractors I've used underestimate the time needed on a job--not this time!). Best of all, the finished product feels solid and looks fantastic. Good workmanship. Everything is straight, even, plumb, sturdy, with nice hardware and a smooth swing on the gate. The fence was tied in well to other existing fences despite varied ground levels. I have every expectation that this fence and gate will continue to look and function great through the seasons ahead. His crew was respectful of my property, leaving things tidy with minimal impact to my garden plants. I confidently recommend J.A.S. -

FAQ
How does Pacific Woods Fence and Deck determine pricing for fence installation?
We provide custom quotes based on your specific project needs, including the type of fencing material you choose, the total linear footage, site conditions like terrain or existing landscaping, and any additional features like gates or decorative elements. Our estimates include a detailed breakdown of material costs, labor, permits, and site cleanup so you know exactly what to expect. We recommend requesting quotes from multiple contractors to compare pricing, but remember that the cheapest option isn't always the best value-quality materials and craftsmanship matter for long-term durability.
Are you licensed and insured?
Pacific Woods Fence and Deck carries the proper licensing and insurance required to perform fence installation work in Oregon. This protects you from liability in case of accidents, property damage, or injuries during the project. We're happy to provide proof of both our license and insurance coverage before any work begins.
Does Pacific Woods Fence and Deck handle custom fence designs and specialty projects?
Yes, we specialize in custom fence installation tailored to your specific needs and property. Whether you need a privacy fence with upgraded structural components like oversized posts and reinforced rails, decorative gates with custom cutouts, wire mesh fencing with wooden posts, or integrated fence and deck combinations, we work with you to design and build solutions that match your vision. Our approach focuses on listening to what you need and delivering craftsmanship that lasts.
What should I expect during the fence installation process?
Pacific Woods Fence and Deck will assess your property upfront to identify any challenges like slopes, uneven terrain, or existing landscaping, and discuss how we'll address them. We'll walk you through the different stages of the project, explain whether you'll need to limit traffic on certain areas, and clarify what permits may be required. We'll also let you know what property access we'll need from you to complete the work efficiently.
How does Pacific Woods Fence and Deck handle cleanup and debris removal after installation?
We include site cleanup as part of our service to leave your property in good condition after the fence is installed. This means removing scrap materials, debris, and any waste generated during construction. The specifics of what's included in cleanup should be outlined in your quote, so ask us to clarify this when we provide your estimate.
Why is professional fence installation better than a DIY approach?
Professional installation ensures your fence is built correctly for long-term stability and performance. Improper installation can lead to misalignment, instability, and costly repairs down the road. We use proven techniques and contractor-grade materials-like galvanized steel reinforcement and properly sized posts-that maximize strength and durability. We also handle permits, site assessment, and address terrain challenges that most homeowners aren't equipped to manage, which is why the investment in professional work typically pays off in a fence that lasts for years.
