2 months agoTodd from the heat pump store did an excellent job. He answered all of my questions with the upmost confidence and sincerity. I have to admit I was skeptical of what the mini split would do but I'm here to tell you they will change the comfort of your home by 100%. The electricity bill also went down which was definitely welcomed. -

2 months agoWe purchased two heat pumps from this company in 2009 and 2014. The older heat pump needed maintenance. Scheduling was easy and I was able to send a video of the noisy unit so a tech could review it. Alexis replaced the motor and it's working the way it should. -

2 months agoWe had a split system installed. Rhonda was extremely helpful, during the information gathering and selection process, came to check during the installation and followed up multiple times to make sure we were satisfied. And had the best price which was also a big help with the cost. I highly recommend her services.

FAQ
How does The Heat Pump Store determine pricing for ductless heat pump installations?
We base pricing on factors like the number of zones needed, the size of your home or townhouse, and whether you're upgrading from baseboard heaters. Custom quotes come after a site visit to assess your specific setup, such as multi-zone requirements for older homes. This ensures you get an accurate cost tailored to achieving year-round comfort in Portland without unexpected fees.
Do you offer free estimates for heat pump installations?
The Heat Pump Store provides free estimates to help homeowners understand their options upfront. Our sales reps visit your property to evaluate needs like ductless systems for drafty townhouses or single-wide homes. This no-cost step allows us to explain efficiencies and zone setups before any commitment.
Is The Heat Pump Store licensed and insured for HVAC work in Portland?
We hold the necessary licensing and insurance required for HVAC installations in Oregon. Our team uses professional tools and follows local codes for safe, compliant ductless heat pump setups. Homeowners can verify our credentials through state resources to confirm we're equipped for your project.
Do you handle installations in townhouses, older homes, and multi-zone setups?
We specialize in ductless heat pump installations for townhouses, older homes without ductwork, and multi-zone configurations. Our process accommodates upgrades from baseboard heaters and even last-minute zone additions. Photos of our work show outdoor units on concrete pads, indoor mini-splits above windows, and multi-zone Mitsubishi systems on homes.
What is the typical timeline and scheduling process with The Heat Pump Store?
We respond quickly to schedule site visits and installations, often fitting you in soon after your request. Reps like Rhonda coordinate flexible timelines, including adjustments for extra zones just days before install. Expect our crew to arrive within agreed windows, complete the work efficiently, and test the system before leaving.
Why is professional ductless heat pump installation safer and better than DIY?
Professional installs ensure proper refrigerant handling, electrical connections, and mounting to avoid safety risks like leaks or system failures common in DIY attempts. We use specialized gauges and tools for precise setup, which maintains efficiency and warranty validity that DIY often voids. This approach prevents energy waste from poor zoning or placement, delivering consistent heating and cooling without hazards.
