6 months agoWe have had 3 significant projects done by Fort Rock Construction, and we are thrilled to recommend the company. First, a complete kitchen and dining room remodel that replaced all appliances, cabinet fronts and sink, plus wall texturing that replaced very old wallpaper, and then three-color repainting of cabinets and walls. They also installed a new lazy-susan at the corner below, plus complete perfectly-fitted marble counters and backsplashes. The second project was to replace and relocate the ceiling light fixture over the dining table. The original fixture was not centered in the room, and three of the five candelabra sockets were shot. We found the craftsman ceiling fixture of our dreams, but it was too tall for the location (dropped down too low over the table). Fort Rock fitted it up into the attic space, secured the upper section to the structural rafters above, and wired it using a dimmer switch, for a perfect result. The third project installed two handrails for safety on two unusually-shaped concrete stairs in the back yard and deck. Both stairways are five-sided. One has five short steps, the other three longer steps, none of which are "standard" in either rise or run. Ft. Rock worked with Unique Metal Products to measure, fabricate, finish and install the rails. We are completely satisfied with the result. -

2 years agoWe wanted to replace our 17-year-old composite deck, which had served us well but was now rapidly deteriorating. We had several ideas, some half baked, others quite thoroughly baked. When John came out from Fort Rock, he brought along a case of catalogs and samples and walked us through them to let us see the wealth of possibilities in both material and construction. Then he did something extraordinary. He listened. And gradually, over the next week or so, he helped us develop a plan for a deck that would be beautiful, durable, and easy-to-maintain. That initial consultation and follow up set the pattern for the construction itself. John, Tom, Kevin, and Aaron let us know what they were doing every step of the way. They were never less than helpful and courteous, and their work went beyond our expectations. The deck is gorgeous. Fort Rock is a first-class outfit. -
