The contractors were nice to deal with overall. The owner and office staff were incredibly rude on more than one occasion. The most recent being.. I was sent an invoice yesterday and I questioned the amount and was frustrated. I was told they were looking into insurance to make sure all payments had been paid. I even said it was likely my error. Less than 24 hours later they are texting my realtor telling her I hadn't paid them in full so they had put a lien on the house. I know liens are common and part of the process. But to text my realtor telling her I hadn't paid a bill I was LITERALLY just given the day before was 100% unprofessional. Edit to add: I was told by staff to wait until I received the invoice to pay. I received the first installment for for the pack out (the part in question) on Sept 10, 2025 and received the last payment from insurance on March 10, it went into my bank account on March 13. I waited and received that invoice on March 18. On March 19 I found out from my realtor that Nick had texted her saying he had put a lien on my house. He did not call me to tell me or even send an email first. He contacted my realtor. As for trying all other ways to resolve, I did not receive any emails, phone calls, or texts indicating anything was late... or even DUE for this portion until March 18.

We had water damage in our bathroom and The Corvallis Contractor provided the initial mitigation services as well as working with us to remodel our bathroom. They were easy to work with and we have a lovely new bathroom with the job done the way my wife and I wanted. All of the workers from TCC as well as the subcontractors were very friendly, courteous to us, and willing to work with us and discuss different options for each step along the way. I would highly recommend Nick and the rest of The Corvallis Contractor crew!

These guys are awesome! Very polite and professional. So far we've only gotten thru mitigation but already they are 100 times better than the last company we had here. They handled everything with the insurance. I can't wait to see the final product when they are done. Well the job is finally done and the house is beautiful. A special shout out to our awesome techs Joe, Jayk, Cayden, Brit, Derry, Jaxon, Judie, Steve, Julian, Ruben and Shane. Everyone was so helpful, fun and professional. They moved all the furniture and boxes from each of the rooms that needed new floors and then back again. Steve kept the insurance honest and Judy did her best to keep me informed every time I called. She was very patient with me. Nick, you have a great team. Thanks again for giving us back our home.

FAQ

How does The Corvallis Contractor determine pricing for water damage mitigation?

We assess the extent of the water damage, including affected areas like walls, floors, and cabinets, to provide a custom quote based on the scope of mitigation and any restoration needs. Homeowners receive a detailed breakdown upfront to understand costs for drying, demolition, and repairs. This approach ensures transparency without hidden fees.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

The Corvallis Contractor is fully licensed, bonded, and insured with CCB#210497 in Oregon. Our credentials protect homeowners during water damage projects by covering potential liabilities. You can verify our license through the Oregon Construction Contractors Board for added peace of mind.

Does The Corvallis Contractor handle bathroom remodeling after water damage mitigation?

We provide initial water damage mitigation and follow through with bathroom remodeling when needed, as shown in cases where we dried out areas and then remodeled the space. Our process covers stripping walls to studs, floor demolition, and cabinet removal for full restoration. This seamless transition keeps your project on track from mitigation to completion.

What is your typical timeline and arrival window for water damage calls?

We respond same-day to water damage emergencies, arriving promptly with an assessment team to begin mitigation right away. Most initial drying and setup happens within hours of contact, with full timelines depending on damage size but often wrapping up efficiently over days. Expect clear scheduling updates so you know when our team will be on-site.

How does The Corvallis Contractor handle cleanup and debris after water damage restoration?

We manage all waste and debris removal during the process, including demolished floors, cabinets, and stripped walls from kitchens or bathrooms. Your home is left clean and organized once mitigation and repairs are done, minimizing disruption. This includes proper disposal to keep the site safe and ready for any further work.

Why is hiring you for water damage mitigation safer than attempting DIY?

Our professional approach uses specialized equipment and techniques to fully dry hidden areas, preventing mold growth that DIY methods often miss. We assess and address structural issues promptly, avoiding long-term damage like weakened studs or floors. Homeowners benefit from our experience across multiple properties, ensuring safer, more effective results without health risks from improper handling.
