2 years agoTop panel of garage door itself completely failed only 2.5 years after installation (by Windsor). A few handymen have stated it failed so early due to subpar installation of rail system and brackets/stiles. I can move past that - things break. The gentleman from their shop said they could fix the panel and noted that some of the wood accent pieces were coming loose from the door's face frame (because of poor installation). He said the would tighten those up - no problem. The end result is shown in the pictures below: hundreds of screws in both of my garage doors and an attempt to countersink and cover with black putty. Hopefully the paint job I have to do over the weekend will make things look okay; otherwise, Windsor has effectively ruined the aesthetics of my garage doors, albeit for the discounted price of $150. Hopefully the issues generated by the poor installation don't result in another round of this nonsense and lack of accountability for a job done poorly in another 2 years. -
