The guys who showed up spent 2.5 hours here and initially this cost $315. The cost is reasonable except for the fact all they did was rewire a switch and they did so incorrectly. When they left only my can lights worked. I asked them to leave because I knew they were running up my bill and weren't going to be able to fix the other lights. I explained to Red Bone that I had to hire someone else to come out. A guy came out, redid all of Red Bone's work and got all the lights working in under an hour. Red Bone reduced my bill to $220, but I really don't think I should have had to pay $220 for two guys to come out and incorrectly rewire a light switch. The guys didn't know what they were doing. After spending about 30 minutes on the light switch they were asking me if they could pull down can lights or possibly cut into the ceiling. I basically had to pay for them to do nothing, since I had to hire someone else to come out and redo all of their work. It also took Redbone months to get me my invoice.

FAQ

How does Redbone Electrical Contractors, LLC determine pricing for generator installations?

We assess pricing based on the scope of work, including site inspection, generator size, electrical wiring needs, and any required permits or concrete base preparation. Factors like home square footage and distance to the electrical panel also influence the final cost to ensure the system matches your power requirements. Homeowners receive a custom quote after our initial evaluation to provide clear expectations upfront.

Do you offer free estimates for electrician services?

We provide free estimates to evaluate your electrical needs, whether for generator installation or other wiring tasks. This allows us to inspect the site, measure loads, and discuss options like transfer switch placement without any upfront charge. Contact us to schedule a visit and get a detailed breakdown tailored to your home.

Are Redbone Electrical Contractors, LLC licensed and insured for generator installations?

We handle generator installations and sales for homes and businesses, focusing on setups that run smoothly from start to finish. Our approach includes proper site preparation, electrical connections, and testing to meet local codes. This ensures safe operation during outages without risks to your property.

What specific generator installation tasks does Redbone Electrical Contractors, LLC handle?

Redbone Electrical Contractors, LLC manages full generator installations, including placing units on stable bases, running electrical wiring through conduit, connecting to fuel lines, and installing transfer switches. Our team works on residential standby generators and commercial projects, such as rooftop equipment checks and outdoor panel inspections. We also tackle drilling conduit and large industrial generator setups to keep power steady.

What is the typical timeline and arrival window with Redbone Electrical Contractors, LLC?

We aim for punctual arrivals within agreed windows and complete most generator installations in a couple of days, depending on permits and site prep. The process starts with a site inspection to size the generator and plan connections, followed by base preparation, wiring, and final testing. Scheduling expects some lead time for approvals, but we keep homeowners informed of progress.

How do you handle cleanup and debris after installation?

We remove all waste and debris from the site, leaving your property clean and ready for use after generator installation. This includes clearing trenches from gas lines or conduit runs and disposing of packaging materials properly. Our crew ensures the area around the generator and electrical panel is tidy, with no disruption to your yard or home.
