1 year agoI hired Ron for a large residential job. $45k. He dragged this project on for over 3 months and didn't finish it. I had to hire another company to hang and finish the garage and addition along with myself and employees to finish the bathrooms to get a solid and smooth finish. His employees spent most of their time getting high out front in their cars before working if showing up at all. If he offers picos to hang take it, he had two older white guys that hung the basement that did an awful job. It was all new construction down there and somehow the drywall was installed terribly. Hardly any screws were used and the screws that were used weren't even for metal studs even tho that's what they were screwing to. They also didn't use glue down there. If you knock on the drywall, you can just hear the metal studs rattling. Ron had no intention on finishing this job in a timely fashion and lied about his plastering skills. I could on for days explaining how awful and unprofessional his service is. Save yourself the headache and hire someone else. -

7 years agoWe used Farnsworth Interiors for a remodel project that involved taking down a wall in our 1972 home. He and his crew did an amazing job. Ron worked as project manager and coordinated all aspects of the work for us. We were so pleased that we brought him back a year later to prep walls for painting after wallpaper was removed. Again, a beautiful job. The walls looked new after his crew finished. Five star overall. I would definitely recommend Ron for any project involving drywall work. -

7 years agoFarnsworth Drywall came out the same day we called and gave us a quote on finishing the second floor of our garage, roughly 15' x 30' with peaked ceiling, skylights, etc. They completed the job within a week of quoting, and a couple days ahead of schedule. They did a great job in that it is a smooth finish (no texture) and it looks perfect and straight everywhere, no ripples. I would use them again for any drywall needs in the future. By the time even got phone calls back from other drywall companies Farnsworth had the job done already. -

7 years agoSometime last year we had a tub overflow in an upstairs bathroom. The water damaged the ceiling above our kitchen table. After looking at the eye-sore for sometime I began to ask friends and family if they knew someone, or had similar work done. The answers I got ranged from no, didn't match, to good luck with that. I started watching a bunch of youtube videos, and purchased supplies. I thought .....I can do this. I removed the loose material, and then thought... this probably ain't gonna match. The ceiling had a rosebud stomp texture, and the damage was basically in the middle of the ceiling. So now it was time to call a contractor, but who? I had a few companies come out to give an estimate. When we talked about how well the patch would match....they kinda set the bar low. Said basically you probably will see the repair.....kinda tough to blend in the edges. I then started looking for a company that specialised in drywall, not a jack of all trades. I called Farnsworth Interiors, Drywall, and Plaster. Ron came out the next day to look at the damage. When asked if the patch would match. Ron gave a much better answer. He said the patch would be transparent to most. If you stare at the ceiling, you may be able to tell. Ron wasn't promising perfection, but I came away thinking this is the guy. I was on vacation for the Fourth of July week. Ron came out July 5th to do the work. The repair was completed the following day, and looked good. I primed and painted the ceiling a few days later. Once completed the repair was as Ron had stated- transparent. Looking at the ceiling you would never suspect that it was repaired. Thanks Ron

FAQ
How does Farnsworth Interiors Drywall and Plaster determine pricing for drywall and plaster jobs?
We assess the scope of work, including square footage, damage extent, and any additional tasks like demo or finishing, to provide custom quotes. Free estimates are available same-day when possible to give you a clear picture upfront. This approach ensures you understand costs based on your specific project needs, such as garage additions or water-damaged ceilings.
Are you licensed and insured for handyman and drywall services?
Farnsworth Interiors Drywall and Plaster carries the necessary licensing and insurance to protect your home during drywall hanging, finishing, and plaster repairs. Our coverage handles potential issues on residential jobs from garages to full remodels. Homeowners benefit from this protection when coordinating projects involving demo to completion.
Does Farnsworth Interiors Drywall and Plaster handle water-damaged ceilings and plaster repairs?
We specialize in repairing water-damaged ceilings from leaks like upstairs toilets, along with plaster repairs for garages, additions, and remodels. Our crew assesses the full area and suggests fixes beyond just patching one spot to prevent future issues. Photos of our work show preparation for these tasks, including drop cloths and measuring for accurate installations.
What is your typical timeline and scheduling process?
We offer same-day service for urgent needs and coordinate full projects from demo to completion based on job size. For example, finishing a 15' x 30' garage with peaked ceilings happens quickly after quoting. Expect clear arrival windows and updates as Ron manages aspects like wall removals in older homes.
Does Farnsworth Interiors Drywall and Plaster clean up after drywall and handyman jobs?
We leave your home clean by vacuuming dust, removing debris, and protecting floors with drop cloths during drywall prep and installation. Crews handle waste from repairs in spaces like garages or rooms with exposed beams. This ensures your space is smooth and ready for use right after completion.
Why is hiring you better than doing drywall repairs as a DIY project?
Our professional approach coordinates everything from initial assessment to smart fixes, avoiding common DIY pitfalls like improper backing or rushed drying that lead to cracks. We use proper tools for hanging, taping, and finishing to match existing walls seamlessly on complex jobs like peaked ceilings or water damage. This saves homeowners time and prevents costly reworks compared to tackling large areas alone.
