2 months ago3/5/26: The service I rec'd from everyone at Pugh Heating & A/C was fantastic. From scheduling and receiving the service call to the follow up the next day to the new furnace installation a couple days later, everything went as promised and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you all very much! 8/12/22: Pugh Heating & A/C made a bad occurrence much less uncomfortable. Things like this always seem to happen on the hottest or coldest days of the year. But after calling, they were out within 24 hours, had the issue repaired quickly and things were back to normal. They explained what they would do and did what they explained, such as calling when they were on the way. Michael the service tech was very courteous and answered any of the questions that I had. Thank you very much for your quick and friendly service. 1/11/17: I am very happy with my experience with Pugh Heating. Dave got back with me right away and Kim kept me posted on the serviceman's ETA. Ryan was very friendly and explained everything that he was doing and answered any questions I had. Thank you all very much! 1/13/17: After finding out the work done earlier this week did not correct the problem I was having with my furnace, Mike came back and investigate some more and fixed the problem. This time again everyone was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable! Thank you all, again! 2/7/16: Had another issue with my furnace. Rob was very courteous, knowledgeable and persistent. He checked a few things and kept checking until he found the issue and then promptly took care of it. Checked multiple times to make sure things were working properly before finishing up. Thank you! -

2 months agoI loved that they tested everything after the job. As a widow, it helped me feel safe. They were efficient and explained everything they did and worked so well together. They cleaned up after they were finished, which I appreciated, and showed me the right filter to buy. Excellent! -

FAQ
Does Pugh Heating & Air Conditioning offer free estimates for HVAC services?
We provide custom quotes based on the specific job, such as diagnostic fees that cover initial assessments like the $99 call mentioned in service examples. Pricing covers parts and labor transparently, for instance $21 for a replacement part plus $30 in labor charges. This approach ensures homeowners understand total costs upfront without hidden fees.
Are you licensed and insured for HVAC and plumbing work?
Pugh Heating & Air Conditioning carries the necessary licensing, bonding, and insurance required for HVAC contracting and plumbing services in the Holland, OH area. Our technicians handle refrigerant safely with proper certifications and comply with local permitting needs. Homeowners can request proof of these credentials before starting any project.
Does Pugh Heating & Air Conditioning service mini-split AC units, boilers, and radiant floor heating?
We handle a range of specialized tasks including servicing mini-split air conditioning units, installing complex boiler systems with copper piping, and setting up hydronic and radiant floor heating manifolds. Our work also covers extensive ductwork and furnace installations in basements. These services ensure systems perform efficiently in the local climate.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for HVAC appointments?
We schedule appointments with clear arrival windows and complete most repairs or part replacements on the same visit, keeping systems running smoothly. Larger installations like boilers or generators follow a defined process from assessment to testing, often within a few days depending on parts availability. Homeowners receive updates to plan around our crew's arrival at your location.
Does Pugh Heating & Air Conditioning clean up after HVAC and plumbing jobs?
We leave your home clean by using drop cloths and shoe covers during work on furnaces, ductwork, or boilers, then remove all debris and waste at the end. Technicians test systems post-service to confirm performance before final cleanup. This practice protects floors and spaces, especially in areas like basements or wall installations.
Why is hiring you safer and better than attempting HVAC repairs as a DIY project?
Professional technicians use precise methods like measuring airflow, static pressure, and refrigerant levels to avoid common DIY errors that reduce efficiency or cause breakdowns. We inspect ductwork for leaks or restrictions and follow manufacturer specs for installations, preventing issues like improper sizing that lead to higher energy bills. This expertise ensures safe handling of electrical, gas, and plumbing components without risks to your home or family.
