15 years agoI believe Zach is an honest, hard working man, but his crews do sloppy, careless work. Additionally, Zach and his group are highly unresponsive insofar as requests for estimates, follow ups, work scheduling, etc. -

16 years agoContract signed in April. In May we started calling to find out when the job would be started. They did not show up when they said they would because it rained where they were. (Didn't call us to inquire, nor to say they were not coming.) When they did come, they did part of the work and just left, without telling us. This was pretty much the way it went. We called, they may or may not show up, they would come and go without letting us know, which made asking questions difficult. It was July 9 before the job was completed. They could not find the pavers we wanted, (they had not taken a sample brick and tried to rely on memory.) We ended up making a couple of calls and locating, purchasing and hauling the pavers. It was another 2 weeks before they showed up to complete the job, and even then, we had to call them. The job was completed and they provided us with the plant drawing we requested--but--it does not match the plants or the placement of them. We do have some very nice natural flowers now, however, we were quite dissatisfied with the poor communication throughout the job and the lack of timelyness in completing the job. What we were originally told would take a few days stretched into 2 1/2 months.

FAQ
How does Green works tree service determine pricing for tree pruning or removal?
We assess factors like tree size, location, complexity of access, and specific services needed, such as certified arborist care or bucket truck use, to provide custom quotes. Homeowners receive a detailed estimate based on an on-site evaluation to ensure transparency. This approach accounts for equipment like stump grinders and ensures fair value for the work involved.
Are you licensed and insured for tree services?
Green works tree service carries full insurance coverage to protect properties during tree pruning, removals, and other work. Our certified arborists follow safety protocols to minimize risks. This setup gives homeowners confidence that any potential issues are handled professionally.
Does Green works tree service handle stump grinding and emerald ash borer treatments?
We manage stump grinding with specialized machines to remove large stumps completely, leaving the area ready for replanting or landscaping. Our certified arborists also provide emerald ash borer treatments to protect trees from infestation. These services extend to major tree removals using bucket trucks and logs processing as shown in our work sites.
What is your typical timeline for scheduling tree removal after signing a contract?
We coordinate start dates based on contract signing, weather conditions, and crew availability, aiming to begin work promptly while accommodating tree health needs like optimal pruning seasons. Expect communication on arrival windows, though delays can occur due to rain or other jobs. Homeowners should discuss specific timelines during quoting to align with their plans.
What does Green works tree service do with debris and cleanup after tree removal?
We grind stumps into wood chips, cut logs and branches into manageable pieces, and haul away debris unless specified otherwise. Sites are left clean with equipment like pickup trucks and tractors used efficiently. This ensures your property is tidy and safe for immediate use or further landscaping.
Why is hiring you safer than attempting tree removal as a DIY project?
Our certified arborists use professional equipment like bucket trucks and chainsaws, reducing risks of injury or property damage from falls or improper cuts. DIY efforts often overlook tree biology, disease assessment, and safe removal techniques, leading to hazards. Professionals handle logistics, utilities, and cleanup, ensuring compliance and long-term property health.
