3 years agoParked in my apartment complexes lot for 30 minutes blocking my car in. As well they knocked over a recycling bins leaving debris all over the lot. Not to mention they were not moving anyone in my complex decided to just park in our PRIVATE LOT for some reason. -

5 years agoFirst of all, this is very painful to write. Movers really have a difficult job, and a very, very labor intensive job. We sympathize but a lot of money is paid out for the service so when the service is poor we know we should share our concerns. We hold Capital Relocation out of Garner responsible. They were hired for the service. They hired the crew. They hired XXXX to load, travel, unload, and unpack our home. Packing went poorly. We ended up packing a lot ourselves because the packers would forget to open drawers and cabinets. They left a lot of stuff. They did not go room by room and finish a room before they started on another room. We felt like we were being bamboozled but what could we do? Complain? They're touching our stuff, holding us hostage, really.....We put trust in the hiring company that they vetted the bidding moving companies well. However, it is very evident that they did NOT. Upon arriving at the new location, the unpacking service consisted of tearing open boxes and throwing stuff on beds, counters, wherever. We questioned this and were told we can't put anything away, only open boxes. We told them to leave, we would unpack even though this was part of the paid moving package. As WE are currently unpacking, it's a nightmare....over 50% of the boxes are unmarked as well as packed poorly. What we packed was good and clearly marked; however the equipment they packed are in several boxes and unmarked. Boxes which were marked were left in the wrong rooms. It's a mess. We have moved 3 times so we know what the experience should look like. None of those moves looked like this. This was a $45,000+ job and Capital plus the crew they hired, blew it. For corporations looking to move executives or people needing help in a move, do NOT use Capital Relocation of Garner.
