2 months agoMy heat went out the day before the snow and bitter cold arrived. I called Speedy Nelson (I had read rave reviews on Nextdoor) and they were at my house in 45 minutes. Carrie diagnosed the problem (and showed me pictures so I would have some idea of what was going on) and then drove to all the way to Clayton to get the replacement for the part that had given up the ghost. She got everything fixed in the nick of time. Speedy Nelson is local, family-owned, and an absolute gem. I'll never use anyone else for my HVAC. Thanks again, Carrie Chan! You're amazing!! -

2 months agoThe Speedy Nelson team did a great job repairing our heat pump. First, they came when a competitor said they could not because of the bad road conditions. Second, they did not try to sell me stuff I did not need. Third they did a very thorough investigation of the problem and found the source of the problem. Fourth, they searched around and found a replacement part much quicker than expected which we are so grateful for because it was getting really cold in our place and waiting 1-2 extra days would have been hard. -

6 months agoWhen they say "SPEEDY" Nelson, they're not just whistling Dixie. If they say they'll be there at 3:30 pm, they'll be there on time period! The do excellent work but you're going to pay top dollar for it. If you're looking for cheap go elsewhere. -

9 months agoI would 1000% recommend Speedy Nelson! Carrie and Nelson are my lifesavers. We were having 5 new Google Nest thermostats installed by a different technician, and while being installed, the fuse's AND transformer's blew for 3 out of 5 of our hvacs. Thankful our technician had a connection with Speedy Nelson because at 8pm on a Thursday night, they both drove all the way from Chapel Hill to Wake Forest to help us diagnose and fix the issue. Our AC was not working at all on our main floor, and second floor (3 of the hvacs had to be fixed), and once they got here, they were able to get us back up and running in a timely manner. I don't know many people that would drive that far, and at that time of night to help. We have 3 dogs and a toddler, so we are very grateful to both Carrie and Nelson for them being able to not only make the long 45 min+ drive but, properly diagnose and resolve what was going on. They will always be our first call whenever we need help with our HVACs or any other services they can provide that we may need in the future! THANK YOU to Speedy Nelson team, you guys are the best!
