2 months agoPatrick did an incredibly thorough job with our kitchen after we discovered an unexpected leak behind our fridge. He came back every day on time as scheduled, answered all our questions and kept us informed of next steps throughout the entire mitigation process. We know we are in great hands with Restoration 1 and thankful for all of Patrick's help! -

2 months agoThe worst company/customer service of any kind I have ever dealt with. They have done everything you don't do in a buisness. There employees (Patrick, Alex, Brittney and others all gave us information on what to do and how to go about things and as soon as they got there mitigation money they wouldn't help anymore even when Alex said he couldn't get any help from his (team) to get them to move faster so he was going to go over there head and contact the GM and he was going to send referrals and do whatever he has to do because his (team) is a poop show and no one is helping him do his job. Alex then Gave us referals for company's to help us finish our repairs. My husband asked Alex on the phone if we had cash in hand would the job have gotten done faster and Alex said oh yea right away. It was done through insurance. I talked to Mr. Jones the owner I was told he is but sure doesn't act like one. Yea he said several things that were lies and tried to say they don't refer out company's for repairs otherwise they have issues like this but I have proof that is egsactly what happened and so he basically was telling me he doesn't care were done with yall nothing we can do. Even said we never signed the repair contract with restoration 1 but we were never given one. Patrick was amazing at his part of the job but the rest of the company is a joke. Brittany has a major attitude and is not helpful at all. Another manager I dealt with mabye the gm was a huge jerk and major attitude also. I'm still waiting for some repairs to be done that Patrick and Alex said flooring would be taking care of and it's in text also and now flooring says they don't do that. Update to yalls comment which is a bunch of lies. The issues were with yalls main company and management etc. Brittany and the owner/gm I spoke with you all. Your customer service is terrible and you make up lies to try to make yourself look good when I had texts from your employees to prove yall messed up but you couldn't admit it and wanted to argue with me about it. I hope people see the real side to your company cause it's a waste of time and money and biggest regret of our life choosing yall to help with our home. -

2 months agoI don't remember the name of the flooring company Restoration One hired to do our floors, but they need to do business with better quality companies. The floors themselves are ok, but the job the company did on our stairs is AWFUL!! The flooring company only gave us a one-year warranty on the stairs, and wouldn't you know it the stairs started coming apart just after the one year was up! Now we have to hire another company to fix the stairs or do it ourselves. We had other issues with Restoration One, the changing of project managers, not doing a final inspection with us of the work done among other issues. I definitely would not hire this company again!!

FAQ
How does Restoration 1 of Greater Charlotte determine pricing for water damage restoration?
We assess the extent of water damage, including affected areas and materials, to provide a detailed estimate. Factors like water category, drying time, and any needed rebuild work influence the final cost. We work directly with your insurance to ensure transparent pricing and fast approvals.
Are you licensed and insured for water, fire, and mold remediation?
Restoration 1 of Greater Charlotte is a BBB Accredited Business with certified technicians trained for water damage restoration, fire and smoke remediation, and mold removal. Our team carries proper licensing and insurance to handle emergency property restoration safely. Homeowners can verify our credentials through the Better Business Bureau for added peace of mind.
Does Restoration 1 of Greater Charlotte handle carpet cleaning and duct cleaning after water damage?
We provide carpet cleaning to remove contaminants after water extraction and drying. Our services also include duct and dryer vent cleaning to ensure air quality is restored post-remediation. These steps prevent mold growth and improve indoor air following disasters like floods or fires.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for emergency services?
We respond 24/7 with immediate arrival for urgent water extraction and drying to minimize damage. Most jobs follow a structured timeline: water removal within hours, drying over 3-5 days, and rebuild as needed. Expect clear communication on scheduling and progress updates throughout the process.
How does Restoration 1 of Greater Charlotte handle cleanup and debris after fire or water damage?
We remove all waste, debris, and contaminated materials during the restoration process. Affected areas are thoroughly cleaned, dried, and sanitized before rebuild work begins. Your property is left secure and ready for normal use, with any temporary protections like plastic sheeting removed.
Why is your professional approach to mold remediation safer than DIY methods?
Our certified technicians use specialized equipment to detect and fully remove mold sources, preventing regrowth that DIY often misses. We follow industry standards for containment and air filtration to avoid spreading spores during removal. This comprehensive method protects health and structural integrity better than incomplete homeowner attempts.
