2 years agoWe found Scott through a referral in our neighborhood page.Upon receiving several quotes his came in at the lowest and was very friendly when we first met him. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. Aside from being completely dissatisfied with the final product, it was not what we agreed upon we also now have damage to all of our baseboards, a window sill that is lower to the ground has a chunk missing from it and rooms look incomplete and sloppy. Upon returning to the house we contacted Scott right away to let him know we were unhappy with the color that was the result of having red oak in some rooms. He indicated that they discovered this issue while sanding. I explained that I would have expected some communication then since we clearly started we wanted no red/orange/pink undertones. We would have gone with a stain had he let us know what he was seeing but they went ahead with the water based coat leaving half of our house pink. He did send someone out to try to remove the pink. It didn't work and we tried to give it a few weeks to let things settle and move our furniture back in but after several weeks it was still so pink and we began to notice all the lazy work that was done. Between some boards it is very dark and unfinished, in the bathroom the sanding and refinishing just stopped and is very noticeable that only 3/4 of the room was completed. We tried to contact him again and explain we were unhappy and wanting to work with him on a resolution and by no means expected it to be a free service we just wanted the floors fixed. Unfortunately he showed zero interest in working with us and said he would get back to use and after a few weeks we have heard nothing and need to move forward in another route. While this is overall a lesson on us to fully inspect and ensure our feelings before sending complete payment, as well as needing to ask more questions before the process we do think more could have been done from Scott. After talking with several other contractors and receiving other opinions they have all been able to explain to us what should have happened in the process to remove the pink. Unfortunately we are now paying to have our floors redone as we are embarrassed at having anyone at our house in their current condition. Obviously, I do not recommend. Spend a little extra and go with a professional. -

They've revived 100 year old heart pine, refinished old oak floors hidden under carpet, buffed, stained & sealed exotic hand scraped Brazilian hardwoods and laid down beautiful new hardwood floors among several other projects. Consistently very pleased with this company. They are really nice guys-honest, punctual, reliable, detail oriented, fast, always come in with very competitive quotes & do a great job cleaning up too.
