1 year agoWe had Chris come out and give us a price on our pool. Answered 99 percent of my questions before I could ask him. I could tell he was as excited about doing it as we were. Guys showed up on time all of the time weather permitting. Price was right where we needed it to be and he was willing to help in any way. I'd recommend Chris to anyone wanting an honest person who cares about what he's doing. Our pool has been in a year now and no complaints. Chris still answers questions anytime I ask. Keep up the good work!! -

3 years agoFrom the moment we met Chris Castano (owner) and he came out we knew we wanted to hire him. First it was great having the owner whose actually building the pool come out. Not a sales person or designer. He jumped right into the technical design, asking where power and gas are as an example. We have a very small yard and a tight space he was able to work with. From there, everything went smooth. And he doesn't waste time. We went from first dig to filling pool with water in two months! Chris was super hands on. Good communicator, hard worker, close attention to detail, and responsive. Kept us up to date. All his crew were also super friendly and accommodating. When we asked them to move plants sometimes just inches since we are so particular, they didn't hesitate. They will do whatever they can to make you a satisfied client. Our end product is beautiful. 3 years agoChris and his team did an amazing job on our back yard. We could not be happier with our new in-ground pool, patio, and outdoor kitchen. He communicated consistently with us through the process. I would highly recommend using Castano Design Build for any outdoor project. -

3 years agoOur patio project completed in June of 2021 and have spent the last 18 months trying unsuccessfully to get a number of issues addressed per the terms of the contract/warranty. These issues started 1 week following the completion of the work and persist today. The wrong polymeric sand was used initially resulting in bonding issues with the pavers. Chris and his crew used incompatible sand 2 more times and are currently facing the same issue on sand type #3. Remains unaddressed. At one point in the sand repair work, Chris and his crew damaged over 60 patio pavers that ultimately had to be replaced. Our patio has had grading/leveling issues (standing water) that were raised per the terms of the warranty and remain unaddressed. Through these 18 months, Chris has done everything he can to avoid coming back out to fix these warranty issues. He even told me in writing that it's not worth his time to fix my issues as he now has bigger projects.... Bottom line, if you are considering any project with this company, look elsewhere for a company that stands by their work. There are much better ways to spend time than chasing an unresponsive contractor (who is only interested in new projects) to address issues that could have/should have been avoided from the start. -

3 years agoChris Castano and his team did a great job with my backyard project to replace a wooden deck with a stonescape patio. I had a basic concept and they really brought it to life. Courteous, professional, and talented. They do top-notch work and deserve all the praise!
