Alex and Joe showed up and immediately started working on diagnosing the rooftop unit. Within an hour they identified the issues and started making repairs. Their proactive mechanical solutions saved my HVAC system. Highly recommend their expertise , impeccable customer service skills, no sales tactics , just got the job done as their brand name. I recommended them to my colleagues which work in the facility management services, they are thrilled and excited to have been introduced to this company and expertise ! 2 years agoI highly recommend ProMasters HVAC! They were absolute lifesavers when our pharmacy's HVAC started emitting a gas smell. I called them up at 11:45 pm, and you wouldn't believe it-they had a technician at our doorstep in just 20 minutes. The technician was not only quick to arrive but also incredibly thoughtful in his approach. He dove right into the problem, fixed it promptly, and made sure our system was back to normal. I was particularly impressed by how he took the time to explain everything to me, breaking down what went wrong and how he fixed it, which was super helpful. The clarity didn't end there; the invoice they provided was straightforward, with no hidden fees-just a clear account of the service provided. If you're ever in a pinch with your HVAC, ProMasters is the way to go. Their prompt, transparent, and friendly service really stood out to me. -

3 years agoWhere do I begin. It was freezing in my apartment and I called many companies and ProMasters was able to come the same day. What a mistake! They told us the diagnostics would cost $150 to figure out what was wrong, which they demanded in cash. Then told us we needed an electrician to figure out the wiring which they had someone available the next day along with some parts. Crazy part they sent the same guy the next day who now is an "electrician". They quoted the job to be $1,000 cash including all parts which we said no problem as long as the system will work after this payment. They demanded we give them $400 upfront and the balance at completion. The plumber now electrician started to do work and told my husband that we needed a part that was suppose to be included and the additional cost was $560. We told the tech that we would buy the part our selves which we found for $275 and he would install it. Then he went and messed around with all the wires and connections, the system is a 3 zone he connected all the zones to one zone and the system over heated and created an explosion of water and black sediment a huge mess. What was supposed to be into a $1500 repair now turned into a $12,500 new system because the mess that he created was not repairable. Stay away we are still arguing with them.

FAQ
How does ProMasters HVAC Mechanical determine pricing for HVAC repairs and installations?
We base pricing on a thorough diagnostic assessment of your HVAC system, covering labor, parts, and any required materials specific to the issue or installation. Diagnostics help identify the exact needs, such as refrigerant handling or component replacement, to provide an accurate quote without hidden fees. This approach ensures you understand the full cost upfront before any work begins.
Are you licensed and insured for HVAC work?
ProMasters HVAC Mechanical carries all necessary licensing, bonding, and insurance required for HVAC services in Mount Vernon, NY, including EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling. Our coverage includes general liability and workers' compensation to protect your property and our team during repairs, installations, or emergencies. You can request proof of these credentials at any time to verify compliance with local regulations.
Does ProMasters HVAC Mechanical handle installations of commercial systems like Daikin VRV units or hydronic heating?
We perform full installations of commercial HVAC systems, including Daikin VRV units on rooftops and complex hydronic heating setups with IBC boilers and copper piping. Our team also installs mini-split air conditioning units for both residential and shop spaces, ensuring proper sizing, connections, and performance testing. These services cover diagnostics, repairs, and complete setups to match your home or business needs.
What is your typical response time for emergency HVAC calls?
We respond to emergency calls day or night, often arriving quickly even in early morning hours or late at night, as shown in cases like gas smell detection or freezing units. Scheduling fits your needs, with same-day service available for urgent issues after diagnostics. Expect clear communication on arrival windows to minimize wait times during repairs or installations.
What happens to debris and waste after ProMasters HVAC Mechanical completes a job?
We handle all cleanup after repairs, maintenance, or installations, removing old parts, packaging, and debris from your property. This includes disposing of removed HVAC components responsibly while leaving your space clean and protected with drop cloths during the work. Our process ensures your home or shop returns to its normal condition right after we finish.
Why is hiring you safer and more effective than attempting HVAC repairs as a DIY project?
Professional HVAC work requires specialized tools, refrigerant handling certifications, and knowledge of codes to avoid risks like gas leaks, electrical hazards, or inefficient systems that waste energy. Our diagnostics pinpoint issues accurately, preventing further damage that DIY attempts often cause due to improper sizing or connections. Trained technicians follow best practices for installations and repairs, ensuring long-term safety and performance over unverified home fixes.
